There are times when life hits us, and there are times when we are hit very hard by what life throws at us. We've seen things happen in the past few years that we thought we would never see in our lifetime. We've seen many sorrows, and yet we have seen many joy as well even in the midst of sorrow.

One such thing just happened not long ago to a dear friend of ours. I won't go indepth to what happened, but suffice it to say she was very down, especially around Christmas time. A group of members got together to make her a recording to cheer her up. I don't know if it worked, because of Birneys singing a little (it may have had the opposite affect). Just kidding, Birney . However, we were later told that MoonGamers is more than just a group of members who games together to this person. It is also like her second family. She also said some one didn't believe her until she played back the recording, and then that person understood what MoonGamers meant to her.

MoonGamers is definitely more than just a group of people who plays games together. When I first came here I didn't expect to find what I found here. I was just expecting this to be one of the many places on the internet I would visit, and not stay long. However, what I found was a bunch of people who cared about more than just having a good game or two. They cared about the relationships they made here as well, and they showed me the same when I came here.

Concerning my first time here I was very angry at my experience on our then BF2142 demo server. I won't go into details about it, but when I got here I let everyone know it. I thought I would be banned permanently frm this community my very first day here, but to my shock they counter mended my anger with kindness, and explained to me what happened. I was also shocked everyone was wanting me to get to know everyone here, and even asked me to visit TeamSpeak while playing. I can't even begin to express how that made me feel about this community. Needless to say since that point forward I was a MoonGamer, and darn proud of it!! This place has grown for me to be more than just a group of people I game with. This place has become my second home as well. For those who got to know MoonGamers you know what I mean. I've also done alot of growing here as well. I've learned new ways of dealing with things and situations that I've never thought of before. Being here has given me insight, and the tools I need that I can even use in my everyday life such as building relationships with people, and confidence I once didn't possess. I've grown alot since I came here, and I've seen alot of other people grow as well.

So, what if there were no MoonGamers tomorrow? Would the world continue? Probably so, but I can tell you that you'd miss out on something worth experiencing. It is funny what we spend money on nowadays on things that don't bring near as much joy in our lives as being able to get together with one another as often as possible, and just have a good time not only gaming together, but getting to know one another as well. Just a little bit ago I got through posting an article I found concerning "The Zillion Dollar Frittata" which really doesn't cost a zillion dollars (thank goodness), but costs around $1000. For those who don't have $1000 to spend they have a scaled down version for $100. Why not get the $100 one, and spend that $900 on something that would give you more than just a moments pleasure, lol? Just kidding. However, the point I'm making is that for just a little money you can have more enjoyment here at MoonGamers than you can find about anywhere else. We offer more than just servers for different types of games, but we also have a very powerful box we host them on as well. Which means less lag than you get on other servers. We also offer a free teamspeak server you can hang out with. We offer people to admin our servers as well. These individuals are volunteers who give their time to make our servers the best adminned servers around, and they do it for free. Infact, gaming on our servers are no charge to you at all. To go beyond that, we don't charge one red cent for anything.

Unfortunately, to bring you the best we have we do have to pay for this somehow. We rely on donations to keep bringing you the best. Without donations from awesome folks like you we wouldn't have lasted as long as we have. We've been bringing the best since MoonGamers beginnings in 2004, and have continued growing simply because MoonGamers IS more than just a gaming community, and hopefully we will keep growing. The economy is tough on us all. We've all been hit hard, and we will continue moving forward despite the problems we see today. Isn't it great to have a community we can come to to have fun, and make friends? If you can, please donate what you can. It doesn't take much, but what you give goes towards keeping our community going, and growing. Thank you, and see you on the battlefield. Be-a-MG!! :)
