We are very particular who we put in charge of the store. Your posting here will not guarantee that you will become an Admin for MoonGamers! However, in order to get started in the "get to know you" process, you can help by posting your bios here.

Thanks all for your interest in becoming an admin for the Moongamers Chernarus map.  At this time, we are evaluating the need for additional admins.  If and when we are to open up additional slots, we will go the forums and contact you to see if you are still interested.  There is no time limit on the app.  That means it may not be next week, but, could be in six months depending on who plays, who doesn't, who leaves etc.  Just because you apply for an admin slot, does not mean you will receive one.  All admins slots are voted on by existing admins based on your in game personality, you willingness to assist as a non-admin, whether you have and are in teamspeak on a regular basis and do people "know" you.

 

Lastly, remember this.  It is NOT personal if you do or do not get selected as an admin.  We try to gauge our admins on their temperament and desire to serve.  In this case, serve the community.  So, once again, I thank you for your apps and we'll see you in the rain.

• Experience: I've administrated several servers for different games over the past 2 years. In Dayz, I've helped run 3 different maps, one with InfiStar, and the others with Dart/ingame consoles. Games: Garry's Mod, Team Fortress 2, DayZ Epoch/Beta/Alpha/ST, Call of Duty 2 (WWII), and Arma II
• Maturity: Though this is mainly something others can see rather than myself explain, I tend to be more relaxed around people I'm comfortable with. I can easily change attitude and adjust to situations if necessary.

How often do you play (Server Map, PVE, PVP): Every day, 6+ hours weekdays, and 10+ hours on weekends (not including holidays or if anything comes up). 

 

Why should we make you an Admin?: To me, this question has a deep meaning the I am going to try to answer in 2 "sub-questions". The first on will cover why I want to become and take on the role of an admin. The second will cover why I believe I should become an admin, and the qualifications I feel I have to make me a good one. 

 

1.      I would like to become staff to benefit myself, but also to benefit the server. First, I want to be staff to help the players of MoonGamers. If they need help with their own person or want to complain about another player, I want to be there able to help them in that situation. Also, I want to help and keep the server a fun and safe place to play on. If there are people who hack or abuse the game, it makes the game not fun to play on for other players. I want to keep those kind of people away so people can play DayZ in a fun environment. Also, on a similar idea, I want to keep the number of exploits and people who use them down. Exploits are not hacking, but it gives people unfair advantages and perks in-game over normal players. Another thing is that I want to keep the rules known and enforced thought the community. People may know the rules, or even if they don't, if no one is enforcing them, they will think they can get away with doing it. I want to be there so they know the rules and don't break them in the first place, or stop the people who do break rules, and let them know what they are doing and take the appropriate actions to make sure they don't do it again. Also, I want to be part of this community as it improves. This is an amazing community, and I want to be a part of the team and positively influence the growth and development as it continues to move along. It would also give me the opportunity to become a better person as a whole and to become known in the community. I am always striving to be the best that I can be, and this role would help me do that. Also, I would like to become a respected member of the community. On the same note, I like working with other people, and this role could help me make people into great people in every situation I am in! A huge reason I want to be a part of the staff team is that I want to give back to the community that has given me so much. I would love to help the players and staff also that have given me the opportunity to have fun interactions and experiences doing what I love and meeting new people. Another reason I want to be staff is that I want to be able to help more people. . As staff, there is a multitude of reasons why people need help, and there is most likely a very different case waiting in each support room, and I want to experience the excitement of it all! Finally, this is an amazing people, and I want to be here and help them as much as I can to be as big of an asset as I can be!

 

2.      There are many talents and skills that would make me extremely fit for this position. First off, I am a calm and collected person while handling situations. When the argument between players and the situation gets heated up, I don't. You have to stay calm, and get the information you need through the chaos, it is a very hard thing to do, but I think I do a pretty good job at it. Also, I have had staff positions on multiple other servers and games. That has given me experience and the knowledge I need to be a good and successful staff team member. A major thing, is that I am not biased when coming to conclusions on support cases. I am fair to whoever the true victim is, no matter who the person(s) in the case are. Another thing is that helping people will be my main priority. If I am in game, or in the middle of anything else, I will make it my duty to help anyone who is in need of help, no matter what I will loose (in game, real life I will be a bit more restrictive). Also, I will keep the server population happy. I would keep the rule breakers away from the normal players, in turn they would get a fun community to play on and bring others on to as well. I could also give the community ideas on how to improve. I could give ideas to improve game play, or to get completely new theories to to get more players and happy people! Finally, I wont only punish people, I will try to do more. I will do my best to make sure they understand what exactly they did wrong, and to make sure they wont do it again. Because if we can stop people from breaking rules all together, we have don all there is to do, we will have made the best community out there, and I can help us get to that point!

Why should we make you an Admin?: I enjoy playing on the moongamers servers and I know that during the US night hours there is no admin unless birney is on. I enjoy helping other players and try to do what i can to help them if possible. I am well setup gear/money wise and I am looking to expand my gameplay. I feel this will be the best way to better my time on the server as well as helping the server during the increase in popularity that we have seen recently.

What are the responsibilities of admins on Arma 2? Been playing for a while. I like helping other players that have questions, but I'm sure the position has other requirements. I imagine if I have to ask these questions it probity disqualifies me.....

Would like to be able to be an admin again to continue to help the newer players out and other admins on busy days ... i have been in a lot recently learning the server and building up my a decent sized horde of gold and gems like any self respecting dragon does

How often do you play (Server Map, PVE, PVP):  I play your servers I haven't played a pvp server recently except for the other arma 3 server I play on and i'm also an assistant admin on that server . It is not a very populated server only a few players.  I have been playing on these servers almost a year now.

 

Why should we make you an Admin?: I help other players when i can and i know a few things that will help new players get started.  I am familiar with the  infistar tools  it is what we used on ther other servers I helped with. 

Most of the admins know me and Lin and Lyn  have both menetioned to me about putting in for admin.

Actually I was going to mostly ask about some sort of Admin rights in TS3 so people who join later at night can pop in and I can still get them into approriate channels.

I know at one point Birney asked me if I'd be interested in being an in game admin, and I have no real issues with it. I've done this sort of thing before on a professional level. I was a CSR for Funcom during the Anarchy Online Era. I've also been offered similiar jobs via other MMO Firms. So I'd like to think if I can handle a MMO, I can handle telling people to behave in  DayZ. But largely, I was told by dodgem to post here and this was really just to get TS3 admin ability for late at night to get people into the right channels etc if needed.

PS: I'll bribe senior staff with food if needed. You guys have seen the food porn I make

Why should we make you an Admin?: I think i would make a good admin because I know a lot about Epoch and I love to help other players. I also want to make sure the game is as fun as we can make it and ensure that players come back to play again. I am also well aware of what you should and shouldn't do as an admin even when there are no other players on the server. I also know it is important not to abuse your power, because it can make the game no fun for other players. I have some administrative experience due to 2 Years in AFJROTC and doing lots of community service throughout my life. I also think that there is a lot of times i'm on and there are no admins on, a lot of times all the admins are on at once.
