It has been bought to the attention of the Admins that many of you are now starting to weari "team tags" in our main Cq and ff-off and also on 'other' servers. While it is great to see everyone getting into the spirit of this tournament with tags and sigs etc. please reframe from wearing your team tags in the main servers. These 'tags' only encourage 'clan' solicitation. While we cannot stop you wearing the tags on other servers we ask that you try to avoid doing this also as this has players on other servers starting to believe that moongamers is also a clan, which is something that we have worked long and hard to avoid. Please be aware that should you load into the main servers with your team tags you may be asked to remove them by the ingame admin. Failure to conply MAY result in a kick or a ban.

Totally agree with birney on that one, we dont wanna be banning people because they are wearing tags.


and a note of the spectator side of this convo, i think spectators should be allowed, as Hartly said in seperate TS channels, and make rules like spectators are not allowed to switch sides during the games etc.

However there is still a problem of people maybe using another communication program to talk to each other ( if people care that much about the game that they have to do that to cheat, and if you do you are a noob and deserve to be shot in the head <3 from me)


But yeh , this is a freindly in house tourney and i think if people want to spectate then they should be allowed, but if they start pissing around then we just kick em

if spectators acciddently spawn then kill themselves, they lose tickets for the team they are on

Just dont allow them, makes no odds to me.

In general, I like the idea of spectators, History, but right now I think we've decided against it.

One small reason for this is that the more players in game/TS does have an effect on the server's activity and can cause lag. The Mod server is the same as the TeamSpeak and I think a 2142 chat as well. With these tournaments, we already have TS busting at the seams (which is good) plus a very full mod server at the same time. Some players have already experienced serious lag during matches and we want to do anything to make the gameplay smoother.

It could be cool to have someone filming the matches.
That way it's only 1 more person in the server itself, and TS isn't even really needed.
I'd be happy to film any matches I'm in, but then you only get the match from one perspective so that's kind of sucky. Still, with GameCam one can literally hit record and leave it running through the match, with very little lag.

Actually maybe it'd be better to just select certain matches - like finals or play offs or whatever. Otherwise processing all of them would take forever, haha
