The teams can always break up into squads, and squads could have their own TS channel. That might satisfy some about less people in TS. I think the first match is the hardest to get started. X=X please let others from the World team side know to check forums, maybe this would take some of the effort off your shoulders to get some more matches going. I like the amount of players. Cause this is better I feel than the TWL ladders-which if we reduce the number of players-it would start feeling like. Any ideas on the next maps? maybe Wake?

Hopefully, we'll get more people on forums, and maybe be able to play some of the custom maps from download section. Kasserine would be a good one-planes and tanks-large map.

@ X=X=X hey if you are interested in large scale battles well organised you should check this out ( http://www.forgottenhonor.com/ )There are no events for BF1942 vanilla but there are some intense events of BF1942 mods like FH1,FHSW, BF1918 etc. these guys know large scale battles and its free...

well I have a thought on nr 1 point Clan recruit. Meaning go for clan leaders and ask them to join event with part or whole squad that is the shortest way to have a massive event but be weary having 3 clans in one team will mean close team play so that might ruin the fun for the other team if its not coordinated as well.
on point 2 well you can always send some players from the team with larger numbers to the one with less players ( eg. you can send the Canadians to US team last Sunday)

Yeah I think it would be easy to balance the teams, just ask any to volunteer to switch. Or make it North America vs World, or Europe vs World, or Anglosphere vs World, etc etc

I would prefer the matches to be high ticket count with no time limit than 30 min matches. At least with the high ticket/no time limit you have a chance to make a comeback if your team gets behind early in the match and you have a chance to still win.
Take any map where you have a main base to start and the other team has 4 or 5 flags with no main base. The team with a main base could be behind for 90 percent of the match and still capture all flags and win with little or no time to go and make for a nail biting finish.

at any public bf1942 server including moongames, i prefer the same as you, upyerkilt ... but in a match like this, i think it is ok to set a more action packed pace / shorter duration to prevent a team being stuck in main for 20+ minutes or so

i've heard a lot of complaints about the duration of the market garden maps .... people have told me that the maps took too long and that it got boring in the end of both rounds ...

in both rounds, axis was pinned in main ... and i think that is the reason why so many logged off in the second round

i don't say that we have to play with 30 minute rounds forever ... but i'd like to try it out for next match at least ... unless a lot of people start to complain about it

many people will be informed about this, and if many object to this, it will be changed ...

Now x=x you have to understand that a few a lot of these American players played that match had well over 100 pings. Yes there were some that had pings in the teens and fifties but once you hit the west side of the rockie mountains the ping for everyone is at about 95 on up to 120. I played in that second round with a ping of 120 and with my family watching Netflix on the other computer up stairs. Ping does not scare us that much. Infact a few of the players in the game had played in a new zeland server and we had pings of 350. Grant it we got absolutely raped but the point is most people will not chicken out when ping is there. But that is not to say others will not.

Also, IMO if there is a second match in a euro sever we should play the same map again because then it is just not going to be seen as equal.

I have almost discarded the idea of a rematch.

Before even thinking about starting to organize another match, I'd like to know if you USA moonies still is interested in doing a rematch on a Euro server.

A lot of hate has been directed against me lately in this forum and on the TDM server, primarily from US players, and this makes me wonder if any of you want to participate in something that I'm arranging ?

count me in.

you bring all of that upon yourself, btw. especially when you start proclaiming you are the best player in the game and that people like myself and sunkist for example have 0 skill. youre bound to get flak when you flaunt your ego. it seems that you take it to heart when you shouldnt, though.

im with rapid... it should be on market if there is another one. otherwise nothing will be proven...

I thought it was really fun, but as a suggestion maybe get a team for the world and the us, 35-40 best players we can find, and have a monthly match, on different matches, ping doesnt seem to be an issue because of the way euro internet is routed just ask cream, but i think it would be really fun to have maybe every month or 2 a match, but make sure there are good players only cause that can cause a team to struggle if they just leave like they did in the match, i noticed that most of best and reliable players were left at the end, there were a few exceptions but still it was a great fight gg guys

btw !east vs west!
