#21 Heph

When I was a kid, I looked up the god of fire for my player name because I thought that would be cool. I started playing Battlefield 1942 as =Volpi=[Hephaistos], then learned he was god of the forge moreso than of fire itself, and he was also lame and ugly. Not quite as cool as I was going for, haha. But everybody knew me as Heph in-game and on Ventrilo/Teamspeak/Xfire, especially in BF2, so I've been Heph ever since.

#22 Meatsim009

What a fantastic question.  My gamer addy has a number of moving parts that contributed to it.

1.  In my younger years, I had a baby face and long hair.  Used to wear a bandana.  Someone thought I looked like Meatloaf (the singer, not the food).  Some people started calling me "Meat" or "Meaty" as a nickname.

2.  Perfect Dark on N64.  So many days were spent on multiplayer, adding in bots or "simulants."  Meatsims were the dumbest version of them.  The kind of Sims that would line up to be shot by the FarSight.  As much as I love gaming, I'm not the best player, so I adopted "Meatsim" as my Gamer tag.

3.  The number 009.  The number 9 had been of some importance to my life, but also relates to bad luck (which I often have in gaming).  The "Double-O" part is a blatant rip off from Double-O Seven.  Gotta add, I did enjoy me some Goldeneye on the N64 as well.

4.  So Meatsim009 has been the gamer tag I've used for 25 years or more.

5.  Unfortunately, now the connotation with Meatsim is largely lost on the younger generation, and they are more inclined to see the name and think it's "Meatspin."  I implore - as strongly as I can - If you don't know what it is, consider yourself blessed, and don't bother searching it up.  It has led me to thinking whether I should retire the addy, and go for something different like MeatShield.

Great Question.

Do you want the origin for Enforcer, or Big Cheese?
