I have seen some greats listed here. Several I have not had the pleasure of playing with and many I just can't kill so I don't know what it feels like. But, one name I don't see here is War Wizard. I don't know what it is, but he is just way better than me. He could be correcting a rule infraction one second and I think I have the drop on him but all at once he seems to turn and own me. On the few occasions I have been able to score more points than War Wizard I know I played a good round.

War Wizard is one of the best players indeed, not listed him as a Nemesis as most of time he play infantary and I am pilot, when played infantary he did gave trouble, but nemesis are the ones kill you again and again and you need all your atention and focus in game just to kill them once per map.

I must say that spawn campers will never be anyone Nemesis as when they do that they loose all honor.

Well lets see, Rabid Animal for is number one for me only cause he shows that dumb picture with my name on it. But in the old days on CQ Deathtrap and Thor where players I could not kill.

Oh, sorry Rabid, I didn't see that. I must admit I was just skimming.

I know what you mean Trooper. I am not very good at most equipment so I try to stay out of them and let better teammates use them if I can. Most of the time I just seem to always end up looking down the barrel at WarWizard and next thing I know I am looking at the respawn map.

I noticed birney never actually said who is nemesis was, so I shall say it for all of you to hear!

Birney's number one nemesis are the trees!!!!


If I had to pick just one person to take the top list it would have to be, ummmm, hmmmm, well this will be very hard to decide... So many choices. I guess the only person I would call my nemesis would be Thor.

I didn't make anyone's list? Haha, I guess I should show up more often then.

I used to kill all of you many times over and over and my name wasn't called either. Merc and Breed (my old 2v2 buddy!) are excellent players. RB, Anach, and =-56-= had a plethora of great infantry players that would smoke any pubstars in today's servers. That list is very long and distinguished and could make up an entire thread of its own. Euros also had some great inf (ie SaTy and all of BmC)

Some pilots were very difficult to kill. Ine, Pocketpool, Jagzed, Joe, Snaketits, Brangelina, Pilot101 for sure make that list. I had to focus all of my energy on finding them before even thinking about engaging ground forces or else they'd get the jump on me every time. If I got a jump on them (very rare) or we were even off the start, I knew I'd had to kill them with some crazy lucky F12 angle shot in the first few passes or eventually they'd wear down my energy and finish me off. Truly a rare class of pilots.

Tankers: jna and Nomax were masters of open space tank maps like Tobruk and Aberdeen. They understood positioning on these maps extremely well and coupled with excellent aim at all ranges, made it very difficult to kill them in a 1v1 situation. Cupcake and Free were a very tough duo to go up against in match situations.

The best hands down all around player I ever played against in matches/pubs you name it: Ferrari360. The guy could do it all. Spent a lot of time on vent with him learning how to really play this game and picking his brain any way I could. Great player and even better guy. A player by the name of bill gates (formerly in MW clan) was also in the same mold. Just knew the game inside and out. Good at everything. But my opinion of him kind of soured after he got caught hacking on TLB. =\

The reason I am bumping this thread is three fold,

1) To kick start this forum into some activity.
2) I am tired of seeing how a cat plays.
3) To see how the player base has changed.

Since this thread went up things have changed, origin has come along and of course people move on to other games or life gets in the way. Here are the parameters of the discussion,

Who kills you more than most? So much so that you get great satisfaction from killing them just once.

Is there anyone you go up against where the fight all ways goes down to the wire? You know the ones, where after killing them you have no health left or you both end up going from machine gun to pistol to knife everytime you go up against each other?

Do you go up against a player where you know with 100% certainty that you have the drop on them only to have them drop a nade or zook you to the head, but they 'seemingly' do it every time to you.
Who is your nemesis and why??

So lets see who the new kids on the block are?

I thought this thread was about the "current players" on moongamers Tony. Who cares about how good people that used to play were? I sure don't. I never played this game besides pubbing and never intended too. There was always someone that is a better all around player. Let's stay in the now not "the then". I always thought you were a very skilled player- how about playing a round or two now and again? Would be nice to see you back.

I wasn't under that impression. And since I haven't played the game on an active daily basis since 2008ish I guess my list is a bit old. =]

Re your edit: Yes, I would love to come back and play a round or two. That's why I wanted to get the stream going (see my thread)! I like to watch a lot people play different games on Twitch.tv and noticed there's no active stream for BF1942. So I figured if I do some weekend warrior action I can stream it live and show people that the original BF was the best.

I read it though I don't have much experience with windowed mode. I did play that way about 10 years ago for a bit lol. Get back in the game man.

Never saw him and been playing this for long, any server u know he use to play or any other names he might be using/used cause amazing players leave their footprints.

Sniping: Der Raucher & Rand'al Thor. I learned a lot of sniping off watching/fighting Rand'al.
Infantry: Varied a lot through the years as I got better. Comet, Sonic Crusader, brEEd, Thor...All of them were champs I'd go out of my way to fight against. War Wizard gets an honorable mention for straight tenacity. Rabid would beat my ass on occasion, but his tenure started towards the close of mine.
Engy: No Guts No Contest.
Plane: Deathtrap. I never fly unless it's as a taxi, but he's the one that's bombed/strafed/winged me the most bar none.

Something I always found funny after the fact was that for a time I didn't realize Hammer of Thor was just Thor *facepalm*. ...I always felt I did better against Hammer...

Another one to add to the engy list is Wolf Blitzer.
