just built a new computer and i cant figure out why no matter what i put in as the homepage, if i close IE, it reverts back to http://www.microsoft...er=6&ar=msnhome
its getting on my nerves..

Click Tools --> Internet Options --> Use Blank

That will make it blank. You can change it to whatever after that. Or browse to the proper page and click "Use Current".

tried that, it still goes back to the other.

just finished running spyware stuff and that hasnt helped.. usually i can figure this stuff out.. this is a first for me though.

I don't know then, do you have it updated? As you get that page if you are not running the latest version, I believe.

Get firefox :P Less hassle with pop-ups and these automatic updates etc.

Which Anti-Spyware did you used? I know Spy-Bot has a option to save the ie- homesite and you cant change it. Maybe you enabled this option.

are you "apply"ing changes before clicking ok, if yes than its probably the spybot
