Hey Easy,my computer runs fairly slowly (3-5 minutes to boot up and log in). a long time to start and load maps in BF2. i have a P4 intel 3.2ghz processor, radeon 9550 256mb. i think this is pretty average. my ram however is 512. i think that upgrading ram to this will help a lot, but am not sure. this is the ram i was thinking bout:RAM
will it work with my system (will attatch my dx diag specs soon in an edit), is it a good speed, will it speed up my system?
thank u
karim
Just tidying up the replies for ya.
You have 4 slots on the motherboard. Each slot will take up to 1 gig of Ram.
I recommend Corsair or Kingston, both have lifetime warranties.
Use DDR 400 or 3200
4 x 512 ram is still cheaper than 2 x 1gig i believe but the 1gig ram chips will allow more upgrading later on and save you money in the long run.
I don't recommend DDR 2 as it can be unstable with a few systems (why risk it if you don't really need it).
Your motherboard takes the standard 184 pin so you can buy the ram anywhere.
