I just installed FireFox today and let me tell ya, i will NEVER use IE again.

This browser is fast as hell. Twice as fast as MSN.

I'm impressed.

YES! ^ thats the best! I have always used Firefox, though. Its super cool. No pop-ups and its very organized. Also, its easy to delete history  , cookies, and cache, and everything. Very useful.

Akooma showed it to me earlier today (I have never used it before either) and I must say it is clean. Imported my settings nicely, although rearranged my favs. I'm not a big toolbar fan, so it's nice for not having a bunch of these. Doesn't run anything unless you specifically put it in. A little different maneuvering, and right now I have a blinking cursor on this reply page with the smileys moving, but overall...I'll keep using it for now.

The only reasons why I am using firefox is:

- i dont have troubles with addware
- its fast
- its CSS2 compatible
- its 99% W3C complient
- and I don't like Bill

I personally used firefox but I still liked IE better.

And about not liking bill, hey, he owns a company, and companies are supposed to make money.

I don't mind Bill Gates.

He put a PC on every desk!

People CHOSE Windows over other OSes and that is the way it is.

There were/are better Operating systems. Throughout history, there have been mammoth companies that have developed their own but still failed against upstart MS (ie IBM with OS2).

All you new users should at least try the tabbed browsing. Biggest plus for Firefox/Deerpark. No more thousand windows open (I always have 6+ pages open) just a bunch of easy to see tabs.

Use that CTRL+T and right click new links often.

My fav extentisons for FF

Tab - X
Basically put a little x on the tabs so i can close them quicker

SessionSaver
Restores all your last browsing session. Very useful if firefox crashes are too lazy to goto the site yourself.

IEView
Lets me open IE from firefox menu. (Not all pages are compatible with FF ;) )

the problem with IE, and that's what bothers me atm, is that IE isnt all CSS and HTML complient. Some of the website developers took advantage of that part and made websites only to show in IE.

That's one of the reasons why FF has that show in IE option. Just to show you the page itself.. but from my point of view, it also tells me something about the guys who build the website
