Anyone know how your supposed to handle Hamburger Helper when you use 2 boxes? Simply doubling the ingredients makes it all watery and such.

So glad I asked.....

And in answer to the "why would we use it question" We're kinda poor since our business burned to the ground.

Anyway if anyone besides the chief or the cow or the captain has an intelligent response (thanx for the help boys, but I'm lookin for some sort of formula or something, like if the box says so much use 1 and 2/3 of that or something.) let me know.

Hamburger Helper is the shit!!!!
I am poor too!!!!
I am sooooo glad to meet another poor moonie.
When you cobine two boxes of helper it ends up too runny. Subtract about 1/4 cup less water and cook a little longer like 5 or 10 minutes longer. There is no real formaula. You are just gonna have to get a hold of it and play with it for a little bit and just use your own judgement til it feels right for you.

Good luck

Because it tastes really good.

No, it is different meals that are packaged in packets and you add it to hamburger, mix it with the ingredients it tells you to, cook it and eat it. It's really good and easy.

And to answer your question OTH, I would only guess add less water, I know that isn't really the answer you want, but that's as good as I can guess.

I guess you would use 2 different pots and make them separately and then mix them together afterwards.

I'm actually going to have some for dinner tonight... there's nothing wrong with it. I believe Humanite had it for thanksgiving a few years back. :P

I've never had to double it, but couldn't you just cook them seperate? Like, use 2 pans or just cook 1 after the other. It's one of the few foods that I will eat leftovers of, otherwise leftovers are teh suck.
