Hey guys, while playing I'll randomly lose connection to the server. Is anyone else having problems like this? Or know of a way to fix it? Thanks.

Rampage si known to play bf 1942, but seems that he already solved the issue.

Hey guys, so I'm still having an issue connecting to BF1942. Sometime I can play all day, sometimes I get booted within a minute of connecting.
I ran a trace route and these were the results:

After the connection leaves my ISP *lightpath* the connection times out, once it hits Above.net.

Is anyone else having these issues? Or found a fix for it? Is above.net responsible for this?

I've contacted my ISP about it and they were able to replicate the problem so they're going to escalate the report to their engineers to try and troubleshoot it as well and will get back to be in 1-3days.

I have it too. Sometimes more sometimes less. Last night i had 4 disconnets within one hour. It is like a kick w/o delay, you are playing and next second you are in the game menu. Your tracert shows some spikes, it could be the problem.

My ISP (Optimum Online) got back to be regarding the disconnecting issue and said they were able to reproduce the same issue that I have, where the connection times out. They said it is not an issue on their or my end, but on the game server's end.

With that said, is there any way a server admin can look into issues with connectivity drops on the server or possibly change hosting companies? Here's today's tracert, I get disconnected almost immediately today, at least 10 times.

I am getting the same thing. It was only occasional before the BF42 server move, now I can't play for more than a few minutes at a time.

My ISP says it's a game server issue.
