You will have to at minimum change the serial number for secret weapons to one that is valid. This can be done by editing registry. For simplification, the easiest way to get expansions going is to be holding a physical copy of an 'anthology' set. A complete set will sometimes have incorrect keys.

Just to add some extra info, we run the 'Road to Rome' and 'Secret Weapons' expansion packs on the main server on Sunday, EST (New York) time. We start running them in the morning.

To play the expansions you need to be using a disk copy of the game, and of course have the expansions themselves. You can buy them individually or buy a complete 1942 set. The Origin version of the game will not work with the expansions

Thanks for stopping by, cya on the battlefield!

clicked on link, received a blank screen.

trying to figure out why I receive an invalid cd key msg (secret weapons) when i use my BF42 WWII anthology disks on moongamers servers.
It works on other SW servers.

I tried the link i found in another thread about going to the battlefield 1942_code.exe to re enter, but can't figure out how to run the program in Win 8

i am open to any ideas,
thank you

Edit:
Found keyfinder online,, my SW key is not the one listed on my box, but unsure how to change it.
I have original 4 disc WWII anthology
and original 8 disc complete collection.

I know from personal experience that some complete collection SW keys were bad.
Never heard of the anthology edition having this problem.

I never had any luck with battlefield 1942_code.exe either though I've gotten it to run.
What has worked for me before is uninstalling SW and reinstalling with another key.
I had to go through a long and involved series of emails with EA support to get a new key.
that was several years ago and I'm not sure you'd have any luck now.
Perhaps try the anthology key?

I know that all battlefield 1942_code.exe does is write the key in your registry.
Theoretically you should be able to do this with regedit and have heard of some
having success doing that, but it never worked for me in XP or win7.
All I could ever get to work was uninstall/reinstall.

P.S. I am absolutely terrible at explaining things, but I hope this helps some.
