well let me first start what i already tried im at a loss here i know nothing more i can do

drivers from 12.1 the first driver for hd7970 to 14.4 | i'm now on 14.4

os: clean os install and compatibility mode from win98 95 upto win vista and admin mode on also tried win7 color fix explorer.exe close

bios: all versions 1002 upto 1402 | i'm now on 1402

ram: ram tested 0 errors 20 hour test

cpu: cpu tested no errors or system crash

psu: tested no low watt or volt working good

amd control center: all settings on amd control center for monitor and 3D

bf1942: all settings from very low to very high

all screen resolutions on from cd bf1942.exe of bf1942 and the mod high resolution bf1942.exe

all bf1942 Executables you can get from ea origin or hacked or cd

also tried Underclocking the hd7970 and running bf1942 on 1 cpu.

my system

intel core i5 4670k

16gb Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3-1600mhz

motherboard asus maximus vi hero (it does not have win xp drivers for ahci sata or realtek hd SupremeFX onboard soundcard so cant duel boot xp)

my power supply corsair 850 watt

my videocard xfx hd 7970 double dissipation

my os win7 64bit

here video of the flickering on bf1942 please put video on full screen and hd 1080p to see

here video of the flickering on desert combat or dc final

here my last video this is to show how normal bf1942 looks played on very old p4 3ghz that has hd3650 agp you see no flickering on there but very lagy comp so no good for bf1942

www.youtube.com/watch?v=59B068xwCy4

i also done test on my hd7970 on system running win xp and asus P5E motherboard on that system there no flickering texture on bf1942 on hd7970 and that was on amd driver 13.12 so this problem is only on 64bit drivers

antialiasing was my first thought.. also you may try fiddling with your video.con file.

You said you ran 1942 in low and high.. the only way to run in 'high' is to adjust the video.con.. although there is a patch out there that adds 'higher' resolution options to the menu.

Might try adding in a few of these lines of text.

You can try this to reduce that jagged edge. It might also help with your issue.
game.setrenderer.useTrilinearFiltering 0

Depending on monitor size this would be an example of high resolution.
game.setrenderer.fieldOfView 1.33333
game.setGameDisplayMode 1920 1080 32 60

This line allows you to go above 60hz
renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1

My prefered 'gaming' resolution. ( I will flip resolutions, 1440 not the best for on screen text )
game.setGameDisplayMode 1440 900 32 60

Remember when adjusting the video.con file to save your options then change properties to 'read only' otherwise the game will simply rewrite it as soon as you load.
