SHITE! That one screwed up screen! Worse than Hunter!! (hehe) I suggest you get a new one or use *shudder* integraded graphics. They can run the game around 10 fps if you disable sound (using the option in game) and set it to 640X480X16 @ 60 htz.

My computer started doing that on occasion recently too. Did you happen to install SP2 for Windows XP recently? I don't remember having these problems before I installed SP2.

things i've figured out since SP2 was released:
SP2 = the devil
glad i haven't d/led it, i'll wait until the autoupdate thingy..

i fixed problem some how just updated soem drivers so far so good but runs slower than normal. but i still can play
