Because I am quite old and therefore non techy in any way.

 

I downloaded the sw and rtr from the forum and when I tried to log in to rtr today it kept saying map not found, am I doing something wrong if so any ideas ?

Depending whether you have the CD or Origin version of 1942, you will have to point the installer to the correct path for your game. At least that is where I've left off walking someone through it last. I haven't checked recently if the xpacks download advertised on our forum is still the same one (it should be), and most times an installer will "assume" an initial path. Look at what that path says, and navigate to the equivalent for your battlefield if it starts slightly off.

 

E.g.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods"

OR

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods"

When i downloaded from the link, i could ONLY play SW maps. then had to download RTR seperate.
