First of all you don't need five grand to build a gaming PC, I built mein for just over $800. :D

Watercooled cases are awesome, but here are my opinions

Pros:
-good cooling compared to fans
-quiet

Cons:
-takes more space
-leak=hell
-a bit expensive
-gotta do maintenance

Thats what I was thinking about water cooling, if it leaks just a little bit, your computer is fried. The computer I wish to build is kinda like this,

5ghz processor (more if they sale it normally)
2 terabyte memory
10gigs ram
Best video card (roughly 800$ that id pay)
Fastest mouther bored (that don't cost like 2grand)
52X(or higher i think thats highest right now)cd drive
I think thats about it. Water cooled case is in the cards.

am I missing anything major? I basicly never want to buy another computer lol.

Whats sad is that the computer you just mentioned would SUCK.........

Why spen money on a "5GHz processor" and only get a $800 video card....... if your spending that kind of money you would need to at least get 2 7800GTX's in SLI.... thats around $1,200.....

2Terebytes of memory...... why? You would NEVER fill up 1 terabyte, why have 2?

To anwser your last question, because I never wish to buy another computer, and I can get any games I want dumb games good games, just be a ton of games with that memory. Also the video card most exspensive one iv seen is 800$ maybe I have not seen the best :P Also all that stuff clearly for bragging rights. Along with gaming.

 5GHz CPU??? Dual 3.6 Xeon maybe ... or quad... or Opterons... lessee, that would be around $1000 just for the CPU's... and 2 terabyte memory? We're still in the gigabyte age in terms of memory, sorry.. and mobo's don't cost 2k.

Stop joking, get a job, save up some money and get yourself a decent (and realistic) machine like I did.

I bet I can find a MOBO that cost 2k (but why buy it? you can prolly control a nuke with it lol)
Thats what I want, opinions don't matter, if I wanted opinions id talk to a credic (sp).

Yet you wanted our opinion on what videocard to get for your system. Which I believe I answered given your current system specs. The rest of this thread is pointless. What's the point in discussing components that don't even exist (or even close to existing) & a computer that can't be built that you won't ever have?

Ok then, opinions don't matter in the "when i build my computer" part of topic. Also I beg to differ your around 200$ MOBO

Also all them items exist, you don't know about them because 1. you can't buy em off the store shelf. 2. there secret and militray has them, everything they have will get 5 years from now.

http://www.tigerdire....asp?CatId=1183 300$ MOBO

Anyways how exactly do you over clock a processor? Also is this bad to do it?

Bombe;

There are many articles on the web regarding overclocking.

Simply overclocking your machine won't improve your gaming experience and you do risk overheating the cpu core and destroying it. You also run the risk of system crashes due the instability imposed by overclocking.

Since you do not fully understand computer hardware I cannot recommend that you overclock.

It sounds to me like your really looking for a quick fix that will make your gaming experience better. There are no quick fixes. There is no magic video card you can buy or individual thing you can tweak to improve performance. Any gamer who has taken the time to learn about their system and performed system tweaks will tell you that its usually a combination of things that results in performance gain.

-S

PS: Even if your futuristic system did exist, two years after that someone would come out with something better. Computers are constantly evolving....
