This'll really help us bring in some regular players. It's still going on right now if anyone else wants to join us! Thank you all who came in to play with us tonight. Also, thanks to Comet for setting this up. Glad you got your problem fixed too.

I wll try to be in every night this week to help the cause.
I noticed a couple of things. First, the high recoil weapons are a real
bear to shoot. Secondly, the MG42 rate of fire is awesome, pretty much
like the real thing. If the MGs on Omaha fired like that,I think its a safe
bet that no one would make it to the ramps

BTW Ryan...12 fps on DoD?
When I take a SS it makes it freeze, hence low FPS. I might also have low rates b/c of my sister.
Normally I get 60 or so with all settings maxed and HDR.

I have yet to figure out why this occurs. Go here to read what others have said on the matter...

Once my computer is fired up I open my Task Manager>Processes and click on steam.exe, I then end that process. Now go click on your Steam or DoD:S icon, it should load. If I'm not mistaken you cannot have two instances of Steam running at the same time, when the computer fires up it is loaded already so clicking on your icons doesn't work. Once you end that process created by starting your computer you can then go click on your icon.
It's a work around, it won't get rid of the problem however.
I haven't gotten a reply to my question in tech area so I'll ask here. If I go out and buy this game will this rid me of my issue, in other words can I just load the game and play.

are you still running off of guest passes? they'll be a little buggy, but they should act as if you still own the game.... buying it most-likely won't fix it...

Hmm, if I bought the disc why wouldn't I be able to pop the game into my computer and play it...like every other game.
I can still play, instead of just clicking on my DoD:S icon I first end the steam process in task manager, then click on my icon...no big deal. I want to understand why this is occurring.
