I see the faces of 6 young boys that will never be the old man in the mirror that I have become....

Thank you Tarawa for your service to our great country.

I didn't serve, I have an older brother who did. Our father stepped onto the beach of Normandy that June morning the 6th, 1944.

To them I am always grateful.

May the 27th is a holiday in the States?

It's memorial day, remembering those that fought, suffered or died to keep us free.  not always on the 27th, the last Monday in May.

Hmm, didn't know that. For us Canadians, we have Remembrance day on November 11, which Is probably similar if not the same
