I am having problems with changing my video settings to 1920x1080 resolution.

I am following this link closely. http://www.widescree...attlefield_1942

The file path that I changed to is C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Custom -->

game.setGameDisplayMode 1920 1080 32 75
game.setDetailTexture 5
game.setShadows 1
game.setEnvironmentMapping 1
game.setGraphicsQuality 3
game.setLightmaps 1
game.setRenderWhenSpawnMenu 1
game.setMenuViewdistance 100
game.setEffectsQuality 3
game.setPerformance 0

Then I save it and close it.


Yet, whenever I start BF1942, it goes back to 800x600 resolution. It is very annoying since I would like to play on 1920x1080.

Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks.

You have to change the file attributes to 'read only' after you save it.

optionally for that resolution you could add

renderer.fieldOfView 1.33333
