So far my Windows SSD seems pretty stable. I guess. The biggest reason I use them is for Arma and DayZ. If i didnt play those I'd just use HDDs. It really seems all my problems started when I built my current system. Which is my first Intel build ever. Once again because of Arma and DayZ I built it. Ive used AMD since 1998 and never had some of the weird problems i have now. The base mobo, ram and cpu are only about a year old. But some sound problems, usb 3 and other things have come out of the woodwork. Never had any of this with AMD based systems.
Fps loss problems,unplayable.

THE CD version uses lots of HD space to run, Origin im not sure as I do not have it.
If you already lowered the video setings, if the HD works well, im lost on what can be issue, sorry.
Please dont quit to try to solve it, we need all players possible in to keep game alive.

I got the free downloadable versions and they installed fine by default. I didn't have to search out what folder to install them in or anything, they ended up there in my Origin folder just by clicking to install. Perhaps they were made to do that. If you have the CD versions, I suggest just using the free downloadable RTR and SWW2 files.
Also, your pic didn't show up correctly. Suggestion for adding future pics. Use the free net site Postimage.org . You "browse" to your pic file and double click it and gets added as a file for Postimage.org to upload. Click "Upload it" and then you will see choices of how you want your picture linked. Choose "Direct Link" and it will say..."Copied!"
Now you merely have to click the small "Image" icon at the toolbar area here and paste in the field box what Postimage copied to your clipboard, or just press the shortcut keys ctrl + v.

If you used the links I gave I believe they're .zip files. I can't remember the directory to drop them into, but I believe it would be in the same as the main 1942 folder... Like c:program files/eagames/bf1942/drophere
And if not there, probably bf1942/mods/drophere

I play mostly the mod. Overpoch has been some fun. I dont play the Standalone much I like having vehicles too much and love huge group battles which is not in Standalone.

Alright uninstalled and deleted and blahblah blah. Reinstalled my Origin version. Used to the free versions of RTR and SW. They found the directory all installed. Go to play and I get map not found. Anyone know whats going here. I'm at my wits end here. I tried once again playing today from CD version and I rage quit many times because of fps drop. Just about ready to bury BF42 and move on. Hate to do it but between this and team stacking etc its just not worth much more of my time. I hate it but oh well.

Hmm, you have Origin BF1942 installed and the game file can't see the downloaded expansion packs installed to the Origin directory. Strange.
Try starting up BF1942 from the Origin directory, maybe your BF1942 shortcut is redundant.
I'm assuming you were playing today when the two expansion packs were running?

I'm pretty sure that the expansion packs only work for the CD version.
