I used a headphone set that used the dual connectors and once aftyer getting up quickly from my puter desk i tripped over the cord. This yanked the jacks outa the connecting holes and ruined my soundcard by causing an electrical short between the connections. Since my sound was onboard i thought i may be up for at least an addon soundcard or at worst a new motherboard.
I got round it by buying a USB headphone and mic set.
I SHOULD HAVE DONE IT YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has awesome sound quality compared to the standard connections and if i trip over the cable the usb just falls out of the socket. NO DAMAGE!

I am planning to get a new one because it is getting a bit old and the battery is nearly shot......
....so I started thinking I could get a bluetooth dongle for my comp, use my hedsaet for that.
Then a voice in my head(my friend actually, just like to be dramatic) told me about a usb headset.....i wondered.......
I would have to give up stereo sound but man the wireless thing would be so great, and I would kill two birds with one stone, headset for my comp and phone!
I have seen this but I dont know if it works with a computer, coud use my iPod with it though....that be sweeeeettttt!!!!!!!!!
PS. If anyone knows if you can use the pulsar headset with the computer please email/pm/post, it would be great thanks.

MY wife says the same thing as your last commentWell here is a thought. Minus the extra cord u might be able to use the usb headphones wirelessy using wireless usb but i am not sure about loss of quiality. Anywhoo on a side note. USB ports dont like non usb headphone being put in. Tried it accidently and my computer flipped the front usb breaker. Who knew. So in other words watch what u put in where.
