I have an extra copy of Arma 2 complete if anyone needs it. It will allow you to play Dayz (mod) with the hiresolution textures included in the DLC. Just post here if you're interested

My Fiance is really interested in playing, but your machine will not handle the game, or so says the Game Checker thing.

I don't think so much it will be the card my brother is able to play fine and he has a gts250 (bfg 1gb) and my card is the gtx 260 (asus 896 MB) not sure what my brothers setting are but im able to have mine maxed.

Im not sure what you computer specs are but there maybe ways to help your comp handle the game, for example

(xp/vista/win 7 32/64-bit - maybe same for most windows systems but iv not used all windows systems)
control panel/system
Click advanced system setting on the left side (opens system properties)
Click the advanced tab if not automatically selected and click settings in performance box which opens a new box called Performace options
Tick Adjust for best performance or
Tick custom and untick all (or all except "use visual styles on windows and buttons if you dont want your windows and task bar to look more like win 98 etc"
Click ok and done after windows "please wait" message

Increasing virtual memory (same window but advanced tab as above)
Click change in the virtual memory box
Untick automatically manage paging file size for all drives
Tick custom
You will see 2 boxes one called Initial size (MB) and Maximum size(MB) change both to (see below on)

for 32-bit windows i believe you can only set it to 4092 max

for 64-bit windows set to 10000

once done (may require a restart) click ok

this has help my system with many performance issues with windows and games
