I put up several more custom maps on the server this morning. The links to download the maps are below, or you can just wait and download them from the server when we play them :) I ran through all of them and they looked good, one or two might have performance issues with a lot of people, but we will find out when we play them. :)

dod_anemia - flag capture map
dod_battlecreek - small, flag cap map - its a copy of a halo map
dod_daybreak - bomb map - axis have to bomb 2 allied targets, allies defend the targets
dod_dust2 - copy of the css map with 5 flags - I had to for fun :)
dod_kraps - flag capture map - lots of close fighting
dod_luebeck1945 - large flag capture map
dod_salerno - flag capture map
dod_subterrainia - underground bomb map - allies must bomb 3 axis targets
dod_vigilance - flag map - city on a hill, allies at bottom, axis at top

Thanks Quetz, I look forward to trying these out at some point.

dod_luebeck looks interesting, I wonder just how big and detailed it is, 35 mb...wow!

I hope we can offer something different to set us apart from other servers.

It's the people that set us apart IMHO! Other cool shit helps too! :)

I don't have time to check the maps out yet Quetz...but is there other maps that are similiar to say TDM in style of play? Not that I'm want to play Omaha TDM on a steam engine (well maybe...), but I have heard some say they prefer that style of play thrown into the mix. I really enjoy the objective based style of DoD myself, but we might see more population if something similar to that was thrown in the mix. I'll quit rambling... :)

dod_orange_fight_arena

I did load in a few Orange maps that I happened to have on my hard drive, they are fun to mess around in.

No spawn camping allowed on this map. If you enter the apposing teams spawn area you are warned, if you continue to advance you will die...I like that feature.
