My son (Shady3) plays BF1942 on CQ now and then and he also plays Day of Defeat source. Being the Moon Ambassador I am, I suggested he check out the DoD servers on the Moon. He came back later and said he could'nt find it through the Steam program he uses. I checked it out and could not come up with anything.

Please give me some guidance and direction as to how to find it for him. Thanks! :applaud:

If you trace the blue/violet line from your house, you will end up at the DoD server...

Or you can use the IP 66.135.47.66 if you find it easier.

:rofl:

That sounds like an all day project to me! I'll opt for the IP address. I was already aware of the IP address, just didn't know what to do with it in the Steam application. Lavitz has answered in another post that I should use the console to insert the IP. I'll give that a shot.

I would open steam and click view then servers. Then go to the favorites tab and click add server. Then paste the Moon DoD ip and click search for games at this address. Click the moon DoD Server and press add. Then get ready to be pwnd :whippingsmiley:

same applies for our CS servers

Did what you suggested and copied the following ip address in:
66.135.47.66

and received the following:

server not responding

Any suggestions?

I checked his Norton Antivirus program, the Steam application is granted all access.

One would think that steam would allow you to search by sever name by now...

It sounds like you can not connect to the server itself.

Try to ping this IP:

66.135.39.142

If that does not work, post your IP and we'll check the firewall.

The fact you can not connect to all the servers is strange, CS:S and DoD:S. It's all on the same machine.

Is it not showing in the server filter? Click on it to put all the servers in alphabetical order and scroll to MoonGamers.

My son has DoD, condition zero, not source, which is what the MG server uses.

Everyone, thank you for your help with this. :applaud:

Well, for $19.95 he should have both...that goes for pops too! ;)

Let's see,

son1 = 19.95
son2 = 19.95
pops = 19.95

total = 59.85

59.85 > 19.95

Think I'll have to ask Lin for a raise!!! :weird:
