Yay!!!

As most of you are already aware of, we've made a Day of Defeat: Source
Beta dedicated server available. This beta makes use of The Orange Box
engine, has a new map and adds achievements to the game. If you'd like
to run a server, use hldsupdatetool with the command "-command update
-game dodsbeta".

We'll be making clients that own Day of Defeat: Source have access to
the Beta within an hour or two.

Ya'll should try running this Beta in place of the current DoD:S server. It'll probably get populated. Comet will have a whole lot of fun!

The update also brings with it a new map, dod_Palermo, said to be "a remix of the most popular community map, dod_salerno."

Hmmm, interesting indeed.

They say they'll change the "bullet spread"? Why change it after all these years?
Good news about the player collision. I'm hoping they mean the jumpy BS when you're running next to your teammate.

It took almost 4 hours for me to download... I like! Found a server that I had a 45 ping to and pwn'd! Wish it would have been Palerno...checked it out locally and it is beautiful! More scenery...

Took me a while to re-map my keys....and the damned delete key won't work in chat! lol...

But I like...
