Here are the two latest patches. From what I understand, the large patch followed by the small patch will bring you current from any version of BF1942 you start with.

1.6 patch (install first) 268mb:

1.61b patch (install second) 6.4mb:

Next, your PB will need to be updated.

Download the following file for Moon Omaha Beach:

Place this in the pb folder which is most likely:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\pb

and execute pbweb.exe from that folder.

Ok,

After downloading the LARGE patch, I realized you have to rename it, adding a .exe on the end.
Otherwise, it didn't know what file type to use.

I just got the game May 12,2005. And when I go to update it, it won't. It sais I have 1.301 something or other. And is there anything I can do? I already tried the stuff above.

PB comes with patch 1.6, are you sure you have 1.6 and 1.61b installed? Those are the links in the top post. Also when on the multiplayer browser, make sure Punkbuster is checked at the bottom.

I did what lin said in the opening post and i got the patches with no problems, but when i go on bf, click online, it freezes, and nothing happens , any one wanna enlighten me?

I tried to download the moongamers patch for battlefield 1942, the one that needs to be put into the pb folder and exicuted from there. I.E> the 3rd download for BF1942, the trouble is I could not download it as IE said the page was not available, can you help?
I enjoy playing Ohama a lot, but i do get frustrated by a lag of about 1/4 of a sec. The result is that I get killed an auful lot. I was hoping that the download would help. I've already checked for spyware etc, stopped a lot of programs running in the back ground, checked my broadband speed with the speed test you provide and got a clean bill of health, thanks. But I still am too slow, any suggestions?
