This only works for those that install their games to a drive/partition other than the Windows drive/partition. Here are all the registry entries for BF1942, BF2 and all the expansions,

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DICE]

Just copy and paste any of the relevant entries above that correspond with the game(s) you have (sorry don't have 2142 but its entries are all in the same locations as BF2, so if you want to do this you will have to eport and save them yourself) into Notepad. Next in all the spots where it says InsertCD-Keyhere, delete it and enter in the appropriate cd-key (the keys for BF2/SF/2142 all need to have x9392 in front of the cd-key). You will also need to change the drive letter (shown as X in the above) to maych where you have the game installed. Then save it as a .reg file; you can call it anything you want as long as it is a .reg and not .txt.

Save the file anywhere you want other than your Windows partition. Then if/when the next time you re-install Windows you won't have to re-install any of the games, just go to where you saved the file and double click on it to merge all entries into the registry. Then it is just a simple matter of creating shortcuts to each games exe on the desktop to run them.

Saves a load of time as it takes longer to re-install BF2 and all expansions than it does to install Windows.

P.S. For those that want to use this that have installed in a language other than English and US, open regedit to find the entries shown above dealing with language and locale and change them to what is appropriate for you.
