If you have been playing dod with me in ts, you probably heard me complain about problems with my sky boxes and other, more minor details. I recently tried to make a server hoping that I would see sky (which I see about 1/5 times) but I didnt. I disconnected, looked in my console and saw this

Warning: using WorldTwoTextureBlend on a non-displacement surface.

Do not worry about that, it happens to everybody. It's related to textures which valve has not changed on their own maps yet.

Resize parent (panel(GameOptions) -> parent(GameplayPage)) not sized yet!!!

Don't worry about that, ever since the last update this appears for many things in similar ways for most people. That's the menu option pages anyway, not the game.

so I ask you, why two kay's sister

why is it that even when I uninstall the game, delete the day of defeat folder, and reinstall it, I still have the problem

It's clearly related to how the game is using your graphics card to render specific things. Specifics of which I do not know.

I'm no sister, but...

More than likely something is still lurking in your registry, what you have done to rid DoD:S from your computer will not completely delete it.

well, I uninstalled all valve games, uninstalled steam, reinstalled steam and am in the process of reinstalling my valve games using, despite what you guys have told me, the cd's. I dont want to spend another 3-4 hours redownloading a game

At this point, it's not the game causing the problem. All registry entries for the game are cleared on reinstall, and don't apply to anything but screen resolution and directX settings, both of which can be changed in-game too.

I suggest video driver reinstall, directX reinstall, and anything else related.

But don't reinstall the game, we know it's not that.

well I asked steam and they said it was because I once used Mr. Wizards in my name. They said the only way to solve this was to take a picture of Mr. Wizards, print it, and burn it.

It was a problem with my drivers, I had to uninstall the game, roll back the drivers then reinstall in that order.

Really glad to hear it is working fine now. I actually have not done any modifications worried that it might screw mine up. Now that we know...I might have to spiff up my DoD a little...hope to see ya tonight. Company will be leaving in a while and I can play some...just sneaking back here to check the forums! L8tr!
