I've been playing it and mods since 2002, but now I've come to wonder, is there a way to hide chat..? It easily gets in the way..

EDIT: Yeh, the "list" MUST be "List" but it still didn't hide chats.

This may work to simply reduce how much you see in the chat:
chat.ignoreRadioText 1/0

chat.ChatMessageSize 1-12 you can change the size of the chat to make it much smaller or larger <~~~ this may work for your needs
to use the you must open your console with "`" and type them in... I'm not sure if you can set them in the profile cfg or not

DerRaucher, I noticed "0
chat.setTimeUntilMessageRemoved 5.000000" but yeh. I'm god awful with files that display horizontal rather than top to bottom.
I'm ridin' on ya Norris, I hope to toggle hide chat with ease as you did !
EDIT: Jeez, didn't even notice the old chat style. The kills, everything were mixed together. The chats were slightly higher but yeh I wish to hide toggle em off/on :[

Here are all of the chat commands:
chat.ChatMessageSize 1/12
chat.GameInfoMessageSize1/ #
chat.KillMessageSize 1/#
chat.setChatHistory
Sets the # of lines for all 3 message displays
chat.chatInfo
chat.OldChatListStyle 0/1
1=1.2 chat
chat.OldChatListHistory #
Here are the Ignore Commands:
chat.ignoreRadioText 0/1
chat.ignoreRadioAudio 0/1
chat.setIgnoreRadioAudioAndText 0/1
chat.getIgnoreRadioAudioAndText
chat.addToIgnoreList <user id>
chat.removeFromIgnoreList <user id>
chat.ignoreList
I knew it could be done with the ignore command sets, but it had been a while. I'd strongly suggest that you talk with admin about why you're doing it, because you don't want to miss an admin message and get kicked for it! That could easily happen if you turn all chat off. (maybe the yellow admin chat comes through still? that I don't know!)Good luck!
