What card do you have now? Some of the newer cards aren't necessarily faster than what you might already have...

Ok then, an Etch-a-Sketch would be an improvement. Here are some options:
GeForce FX 5600 Ultra 128MB(BFG brand for $115 on Pricewatch.com)
ATI Radeon 9600 128MB(Sapphire brand & not Pro!) for $95 from newegg.com
If you can get the extra $$$:
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB(Sapphire brand for $132 on Pricewatch.com)
Pay very close attention to what you are buying. There are many variations of the cards out there. Many are sub-par versions of their big brothers. I really recommend reading http://www20.tomshar...1229/index.html very closely if you want to get the best bang for your buck. Use Tom's benchmarks and Pricewatch to find the best performance for your dollar. Good Luck!

well, i purchased one tonight. ati radeon 9600 256mb. it was the sapphire edition from newegg.com and only $103. i also got a free newegg t-shirt, which is nice. by the time it gets here, i'll be on spring break...which is a bummer. but come april 3/4, i'll be kickin' it on omaha with a better video card. thanks for all your help don...and everyone else.
