I've got Amber core, some form of collagen right now. Still 2 days, 1 hour left until the WU is done...

Thanks for the info and link,VetteDude.
I been running Seti for a few years now.
I think I'll try something more down to Earth (no pun intended)...LOL
Seriously, I would rather devote my cpu to medical research anyday!!

Just as a reminder, the app only runs at full power while the computer is NOT in use, and when it detects that someone is using it it will go down to minimal CPU use. Therefore, running it while doing stuff then shutting the computer down is absolutely useless. It's for people who leave their PCs on the whole day, who want to be able to contribute something to society :)

My understanding is that if you have it on 100% of the time it will scale up and down to consume what is not being requested by other apps or the system itself. I've had it running like that over 24 hours and so far so good.

I finally got around to dling this today, lost my mom to cancer a little over a month ago. I hope this helps save someone's mom in the future.

Finished my first!

Who is freemoney453?

EDIT: actually, it looks like your score is counted/accounted for as you complete WU's. I will complete my first by thursday at 23:16, according to the estimation of the system.

You either have a supercomputer or you're getting tiny WU's!

2.4ghz processor, last one was 500 frames, this one is 100, and I'll be done at 7 tonight. Maybe I have less things running in the background than you guys when I leave my computer. Now that I have installed it, when I leave my computer I turn off all normal apps (firefox, itunes, etc.) and I even turn off aim, dell support (which I have yet to use in two years), and anything else I can turn off. I have also configured it so that it tries to use 100% of the cpu when possible. As I type this it is using 90-98% of my cpu.

What kind of cpu do you have? I am on my second now, but this one is also a mere 100 frames.

Alright, I downloaded this and it is running now.

But I'm still a little confused on what exactly this does?

Basically - we're helping this project crunch their data - we all download small pieces of data - which their software analyzes and organizes - and when it's finished with that small piece - it sends it back and downloads another to work on.

Here is a more detailed article on this project: http://www.stanford....olding1023.html

GOOD GOD I GOT THE 50K frame one!!!!!

5.5 frames per second makes me happy though. take me 2 days to finish it. that is full on rendering. If i play cs every day, it would take 998 days 14hours and 28 mnutes.

5000/50000 frames done... I dont know how u get thre renders done already.
