Anybody else run into this:

I updated to patch v1.61.
Everything worked fine, and I played on the Server with no problems.

But, we all know the server was moved back to patch v1.6.
Following the admins advice, I uninstalled, and reinstalled BF1942, downloaded and installed patch v1.6 and tried to get back onto Moon's servers.

Now, when I connect to the moon servers, it shows me a "BANNED FROM SERVER" message. Per Lin (aka ADMIN) I am not banned from the server.
I found out I can still connect and play on the Bugs server, as well as other servers running patch 1.6.

I've even tried to delete the PB file, and reinstall Punkbuster, to no avail.

If anyone knows what to try next, please let me know.
If I can't figure it out, I'll go with plan B. (Formatting my 2nd hard drive, and start with a clean install.)

Sorry, no news yet. :(

When I get home tonight at 11pm Eastern, I'll jump on my computer and see what I can do.

Wish me luck!

When you gave your game an enema did you remember to delete the folder for BF in Prog. Files/EA Games?

DONT DO THAT! You dont need to, if you keep it, your settings will remain, controls, profiles, etx.

Ummm, ok. Its just that I had the same prob when I went to 1.61 and back to 1.6. I did not nuke the folder the first or the second time I reinstalled. Then I tried again with the folder gone and now its all back to normal.

The other error I was getting was "CD KEY IN USE" when I would try to connect to other servers.

But then again, what do I know

Yes, I did delete the BF folder, as well as the EA games folder (it was the only game I have from EA)

Anyways, leaving work now, will (hopefully) get to play tonight.

Thanks,

Well,

This is no longer an issue.
At least, not right now.

I'll be offline at home for a little while.

Thanks for everyone's help on this.

Casey, does that mean it's solved or do you need more help on this?

It means that without an internet connection, I have no way to connect to the server and find out if I'm still getting the same error message.

If anyone wants to pay my bill for me, Donations will happily accepted!
:-D

(Of course, I'm joking. Please don't send me money.)

Well, the first thing I cut back on was sending Lin flowers everyday.
Its expensive being a stalker, let me tell ya! :-D

I've cut back on beer already, thinking that would save enough money.
Boy, was I wrong. I guess I don't drink enough.

And I've already cut back on food, but the kid likes to eat 3 times a day (And he's too cute to say no!)

Ah well...I've got an connection at work.
Now I've just got to figure out how to install BF1942 on my work machine.
