That is just the size of the thing on the left with your name and statistics in it. If the post your write is longer, you will not see the "four lines"

So it's okay to fill that space up, considering that it'll take up space anyway, right? Just wanted to make sure before I plunked a graphic or text in there...

EDIT: Never mind, wasn't really thinking until I saw that it was eliminated on this post. It would actually take up more space than needed if the post were to be longer than the info frame part...

If your signature size is greater than an area covered by 1000 x 200, it is too big. I am getting a bit tired of adjusting the sigs of folks. I will start editing them by removing them. If you log on and your sig is gone, it is because it exceeded the reccommending size. You want a picture, fine then post a pic. You want two..? Make sure they are shrunken enough to fit in the size indicated. You want three..forgetaboutit. Go with two.

A simple way to test your signature size is to right click and select properties. It will give you a size of the "file" you have as a sig. If you have two, add them together and then that is what you have to work with.

For example:

The Enforcer sig is 450 x 125, the Serverspy sig is 525 x 80. Adding them together I get 975 x 205. Yes, I am over by five, but, I am The Enforcer, and so, I give myself a break. If it gets under control, I will give you five pixels too..

I was formaly a member of a diffrent forum and to prevent things like people having sigs over there maximum they changed the source code so that only the maximum was displayed. Everything over that could not be seen. They changed the source file by adding this line of text :
<div class='signature' style='height: 200px; width: 1000px; overflow: hidden;'>$sig</div>

I hope that one of the coders around here know where to put this. BTW how do you guys like my sig?

That was definitly not a Invision Power Board forum. By the looks of the code it was just a simple PHPBB, so the sig is not a <div> and $sig doesn't produce a sig. :P
