Recorded a few games and been sad since I didn't get a bf1 alpha invite so I made a few videos. Gameplay from moongamers, ax, and simple fra. As a note, I purposely held zoom in after firing to try to get a better view of what was happening when I would watch it in slow mo, I do not recommend doing that if you are sniping in game as there isn't any benefit aside from watching it if you recorded. Music is blocked in a few countries and youtube quality sucks even at 1080p 60fps so I uploaded to streamable and google drive as well.

Better quality than youtube and hopefully not region blocked here

Here are the slow mo videos. IMO worthy of watching as you get to see how the lead in the game works at different distances. Pretty crazy when you see sniping a jeep or a boat going sideways at full speed. Youtube quality sucks, streamable freezes for the first shot but at least is good quality.

I also made 3 videos of some of the better shots in slow motion. They are on youtube but again the quality sucks so I'll post when I get them on streamable and google drive. The shots are interesting to watch in slow mo though as you can see exactly where you have to lead and for what distance.

Why does your recoil make your gun go down instead of up?

Why does your recoil make your gun go down instead of up?

The geniuses that know the coding and everything about the game like sk or tuia would know the answer to that. I never noticed the reticle dropping so dramatically while playing as it happens so fast. Then I watched these clips in slow motion.

Thankfully you edited out the times you did snipe me.

I think I did break some 27-0 or something up.  :)

It's always been this way for sniper/engy rifles I think. I never notice while playing because I'm thinking ahead in game, but it's totally obvious while rewatching old vids.

I've never slowed down a vid of medic/assault.

Saving that for the nothing but killing mexican eskimo montage ;)

Also I uploaded the 3 slow mo videos for anyone curious. My favorite shot is in the 3rd video on market garden where I shoot from the bunker at stone bridge to the steel bridge infantry just hanging out, but I

somehow miss him and kill someone behind him that you can just barely see. In that video the two clips before that are also on market garden are all of me shooting at one person and missing but hitting someone

else.

Wow some of those shots are insane. I don't understand how you made that one Bocage shot where they guy dives behind the bridge rail. Its like the bullet goes through the bridge to hit the guy.

That particular shot was on a euro server so I had high ping, mix that with the delay between standing and laying down and it looks pretty crazy. Its the same idea though if someone is standing still on any map and lays down, you can still shoot where they were for a short period of time. In this case on bocage I am just aiming where he would of been if he was standing instead of laying down.

Very nice thanks! What are you using for controls?

I'm using a ball mouse (Logitech) because I like the way I can move and look (without having to scroll a mouse across the desk, but I think it kills my rifle accuracy. I know some people love the keyboard.

I use the F key for my main weapon (slot 3)

I use the G key for my pistol (slot 2) and the only other one that isn't default I think is Q which I had for med pack when I used to play as medic.

If you look at 4:10ish in the first video you can see how putting your main weapon and pistol on hotkeys that are easier to reach helps with speed. After I kill hilly I instinctively pull out the pistol for the off chance

that the sniper shot didn't kill him. When I notice he is dead I pull the sniper rifle back out but this all happens in just a moment.

Using a trackball is a definite disadvantage, I only know of one pro player from League of Legends that used one and got to a high level. Not sure how much space you have on your mousepad to move your mouse

but I don't have much on mine and my sensitivity is low and if you watch some of the clips you will see my crosshair moving in a chunk across the map horizontally and then stop and then move again. That is me

picking up my mouse and resetting it back in its original spot.

So Harriet how long have you been playing the game and how many teams or clans have you played for if any?  If so under what name?

Steve , I use the disadvantaged Trackball..   tis true , it won't compete with a gaming mouse..  It has a few strong points but should be considered absolutely horrible and the downsides far outweigh the Pro's.

Match it with a gaming keyboard at the very least!

I've played since pretty much the beginning off and on. Play get bored find new game, get bored of that or it dies and go back to 1942, rinse and repeat. Hopefully bf1 ends the whole coming back to 1942. If you have played with me in the past you know my names, otherwise its just HT.

The complainers/crybabies can't be convinced so even with these videos they will still cry, but it should at least stop any complaints that the admins are protecting 'hackers'.

Ahem...snipers in BF1942 are the reason we have to jump around like jack rabbits as we move, causing soldiers to look kind of ridiculous.

Oh wait!  Serpentine....serpentine!!!!

But remember that jumping around makes it easier for snipers to predict where you're moving. I just move my crosshair to where the player is about to land and it's a predictable lead.
