Sup Moon :)

Recently had a power outage so my pc was off for a full day.

Usually it is on 24/7.

Power came back, turned my pc on and Windows start button does not work.

Also BF42 does not work and I get this message when I try to play the game.

c:\program

Files\windowsapps\microsoft.VClibs.140.00.UWPDDesktop_14.0027629.0x64__  etc etc etc. Too long to type.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Just for starters... see where it goes...

The following are some things you can try if you're having problems with the Start menu or Cortana. First, check for updates:

Press Windows logo Windows logo Start button key + R, type ms-settings:, and then select OK. This opens Settings.

In Settings, choose Update & security Circular arrows Sync icon > Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required

If you didn’t have any updates that required a restart, it’s still a good idea to restart your device to make sure any pending updates are installed.

As an aside, I would shut down and restart a cpl times a week...

Thank you, Guys!

Ended up refreshing windows and re-installing 42.

I am now able to play again woohoo! Look out for ZOOKS =] LoL

Anyway, now I have a new problem: When I 2x click on the df42 icon, it asks me " Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?"

Never had to answer that every time before. Would love to get rid of it :)

That might be administrator mode, which is fine. The game should run a little more stable as well.

If you have Windows 10, like me, that's the same mine does.
Click yes to play ;)
Not sure if there is a way to get rid of it without changing a security settings....?
