I still can't reach the server and I am guessing the firewall hasn't been updated yet.

 

Sometimes some ISP's will put in rules to "Blackhole" routes to some IP addresses so I just want to be sure that isn't happening.

 

This is a trace route from my PC - the last IP address in the list is either the firewall before the server or the last hop before the firewall.

Is the last address on the correct path to the server?

 

Sort of geeky but I am a network engineer in real life.

You did the TR correct. Last hubs are always fire walled

Tried that and the server never responds.

 

My gut feeling is the firewall has my address blocked.

I'm having exactly the same issues. Last time I connected the server was crashing about every 10 minutes. Can you unblock my IP?

I'm not speaking for the admins but if your saying that you were connected but the "server is crashing every 10 minutes" it seems more a server side problem not you.

BUT for your own sake tracert the server to see the ping of the hubs you travel threw and post it. Blocking out personal info of course.

In the in-game server list, I see the Moongamers server in grey.

Usually this means the server version differs from mine. I have v1.61. I have installed all patches.

Is there something I'm missing? It has been so long, I don't remember much.

Did you actually try joining?  Mine is grey as well, however I can still join.

Thanks, Grassy. Yesterday I had some error message, but now I can join any server, including greyed ones. Go Figure.
