This is quite simple, since the latest patch my lag has made the game unplayable. Before the patch I could play without any lag at all. I reformatted my comp and everything and it still lags. Any suggestions?

Thanks your time

**EDIT**
Heh, in my blind rage at the new patch I forgot to say what patch and what game lol

BF2 1.4

I would re-patch with the full patch. Before you do though, do you get this lag in other games? Does it lag in single player as well?

I've been using the Full Patch and I reformatted so I've tried reinstalling. As for single player, that is a good question. I'll check. I used to be able to play on 100 ping servers with no lag and now I cant even play on
40 ping servers. So I doubt it is the connection. I was thinking a hardware conflict maybe. I know some1 else who is having the same problem.

I am assuming you have all the latest platform, VGA, and sound drivers?

I got a lot of lag too. I rolled back to a earlier video driver for Nvidia and hope that works... I will let you know. I also heard the newer Nvidia drivers are not good for the older cards, thats why I rolled back to 84.43.

Can you be less vague when it comes to your computer?

Ie, Mhz on the processer
Mb of RAM
Is your Video Card PCI/e 16x or AGP 8x?
How Many MB on the video Card?

You can find out some of that if you right click my computer and select properties.
That is what it will look like but it'll have your computers info in it.

Now that you mention that, I does occur to me that I had an old driver for my video card before the patch. I installed BF2 1.4 and didn't play it untill I got the new drivers so that might be it.

Again, In order to better troubleshoot this, could you be more specific about your computer stats? "A lot" of ram doesnt help, because for me, "A lot" would be 8 Gigs, but for you it might be 1 gig or less.

Santano, u have the same mobo as me. How did you change the 8x's for the SLI to 16x's in the BIOS. I cant find it, and under the display properties it says 8x's when my mobo supports 16.

Mine has 1 x PCI/E 16x slot, not 2, so I cant SLI

By saying "a lot" I was trying to get the point across that ram is not the issue. I have played BF2 with no trouble with quite a bit less ram.

I am leaning heavily toward what the other guy said about the Nvidia drivers. Since he mentioned that, I talked to other people that were having lag and every one of them had nvidia vid cards.

Quit getting my hopes up. I see someone posted and find out its just u asking for my specs for like the 3rd time. :lamo:

Again.... I have played BF2 on comps worse than this one just fine. In fact, I have played BF2 on this comp just fine be4 patch 1.4 . So That Means That 1.4 Has A Conflict With My Comp Or The New Video Drivers Have Problems (since I updated the drivers bout the same time as 1.4 came out)
