[no guts no glory]

Hello everyone,

The tournament will be starting in a few short weeks. We have the team captains set and they will be making team placement picks this weekend. So far we have 55 players, BUT there is still time to sign up for this!!! You can sign up by sending me a PM or by using this post as a sign up sheet. I will try to get everyone on a team even if we have to create 2 more teams to do this.

RULES:
The rules for this will be 1942 CQ rules.


The tournament will be going for 6 weeks and 3 weeks of play offs.
EVERY TEAM WILL BE IN THE PLAY OFFS!

There will be one match a week, time to be set by team captains for ease of getting all the players together at the same time. The match has to be played during that week as there will be no make up times once the week is over.

Teams:
The captains will pick teams from a "draft style" pick, meaning that all teams should be fairly well balanced. You will have some players that are top notch and some that are just starting out playing on your team, REMEMBER this is to be a fun time, if you see a team mate struggle try to help them out a bit. This will bring morale for your team up and it will in the end make a better player out of your team mate.


Some of you are asking how the captains were chosen, I personally picked them out of Admins/Regs/Players that are on the server a good deal and most of the population does know of them or has heard of them. I did it this way so people had a bit of familiarity for the captains.

I would like to thank all of you and if things go well I look forward to doing this again in the future. Of course teams and captains will change for future events to give more people a chance to help out in different areas.


I am looking forward to having this event and I would like to personally thank everyone of you but as there are many I will have to thank you in this post.

I seem to remember hearing that everyone is welcome to listen to the drafting as long as they remain muted in the teamspeak channel. Also to anyone who thinks their on a bad team, remember that a good strategy > good players when everyone does their job right.
