My nemesis was always Jason Bourne. Hands down. I swear he killed me 10 times for every 1 I got on him. He was the bane of my battlefield existence.

This made me feel warm inside.
Much love Tocky.

Howdy stranger. :evil1:

When can we expect you back in game?

On foot the following guys got the better of me 9.5 times out of 10. Until I knew more about the game (i.e. lagg manipulation through hopping, side to side movement, etc...), I suspected a few of them of hacking they were so good.

Wolf Blitzer
Tim
Jason Bourne
BR1 5ft Accelerator
RB Minnesota
Mint
Breed
Ice9
Zeee
TLB Cheddar
TLB Fenix

The list goes on. Most times I just resorted to nading or expacking them as trying to go head to head with them was an exercise in futility. After awhile I was able to kill them occassionally but they still killed me most times.

In the air, the list isn't as long but still large. These guys have my number 99% of the time.
Anyone from ownzr clan except ddub & Shorty (long story). Jagz effin ruled.
Pilot101
RuleofWrist from ECGN
A couple guys from TLB
Merc
The Pain
Anyone from 56th fighter group.

The majority of the guys you mentioned are at least relatively old school and your knowledge of them surprises me.
I played Wolf Blitzer regularly on the second to original Ghetto Berlin, when Minne took it over. He used to smoke me on a regular basis, until I got better. I have much more respect for him with the engineer rifle, though, as he used to pull some pretty unreal shots.
I honestly never really played Jason that much, as far as I can remember, but my favorite moment playing him was a match against MG with nDa. As Jason and I were our teams' "star" infantry, we were both sent to mid. If I remember correctly, he won the first fight...
5foot was absolutely amazing with the sniper rifle. I've never seen anybody that had the capacity for headshots and map awareness that he did.
I've always respected Minne as one of the best "rush" infantry, so to speak. He's always the guy that, in my book, went straight into the fight, regardless of the outcome.
Mint used to be a regular pub nub here at MG. After the little tiff when he got the entire ownzr clan banned here, he downloaded Xfire and would jump into the imposter Ghetto quite regularly. The rest is history as he soon became a really decent player.
BrEEd is my main girl. Back in the day when he used to school me again and again; I learned so much from him. He used to pull some really cool shit in matches, too. He'd dissapear right after an intense gun battle and then be at at your flag, capping the one you really needed to not lose.
<3 Zeee.

Flying: ddub>jagzed in every aspect of the game. Jagzed was slightly better at dogfighting, but in terms of match flying, Ddub was a much better bomber and could bait nearly any pilot to any easy flak kill.
Pilot101 was alright, he used to fly 24/7 but could never really take down any of the big names that I remember.
Anyone from 56th? Other than Von Satan and Pocketpool, who exactly did they have as a decent pilot?
I have enormous respect for Ine as a pilot. He blew me away in a match one time when, in the middle of a dogfight, he turned and bombed a tank and still won the DF.

I started playing under different names back in 2002 I think and played against some of those 'old school' guys. Who's to say how they'd fare now days with the number of good pilots out there but back then, they were like Gods to nubs like me.

I never played in matches so I can't speak from that perspective but I know you're very active or were in them. I excluded ddub and Shorty from my list for an incident involving both of them on the MG server that I'd rather not go into. However, leaving you off my list was an error and I apologize. When I've had the pleasure of playing against you in the pubs (any of them) I've come up short religiously.

I consider myself an average pilot on my best day and well below on all others. Most of the time when one of the elite guys were flying I would just stay on the ground or find another server. I don't do the exercise in futility well so my flying is what it is. I say that to qualify my statement about the 56th group most of whom would make me look foolish in the air.

My single greatest memory of a nemisis kill in 42 was knifing 5 ft (caught him sleeping or something).

Oh and Merc has to be my greatest nemesis. He could be out of ammo, down to his knife with me in a friggin heavy tank and somehow he'd STILL friggin live. Guy has the luck of the devil and the BF skill of God.

Oh man, 5ft.. That brings back memories. I miss those days Kursk where I would go searching for him with a knife, only to be killed by his rifle before I saw him :P

I'm positive I shanked him once. As I recall I ran into him as he was coming into a building to get ammo. Pure reflex move on my part to knife him..........might have fainted dead on the spot from the loss of blood. For some reason it all travelled to another part of my anatomy. :P

Whoever the guys/gals were that ran around with the [HOT] tags were pretty damn good too.

Right now I'm going almost 100% engineer as I've come to the realization that I suck at head to head infantry (medic/assault).

HOT was collection of CAL/TWL players who joined together. Anna Kournikova was my favorite, a great infantry player. They also had Kate Beckinsale who was a phenomenal pilot.

Some of us regs and TLB clan members on ALB came up with a fake clan to 'mock' them, called [UGLY]. HOT were well liked and respected regs on the server and it was taken in good humor, as it was intended. My [UGLY] name was:

[UGLY]JanetReno

I usually 'introduced' myself to the server in the following manner:

[UGLY]JanetReno: <---- Looks that kill

There are too many I would consider a nemesis to list them all, but those were the types of players that made me keep playing.

lmfao @ [UGLY] tags. I remember seeing some of those. Wasn't there one of you guys that went with [UGLY]RosieO'Donnell?

Too funny.

maybe hightower when he's on a plane. also Angerfist, Rabid, Sunkist, Trigger Hippy... I think killing these guys should get extra points, but I also enjoy to play with them on team, they are supportive.

Thanks for the mention Lit; you are very enjoyable to play with too! Great to see you on the forums.

Alvin has recently done the "top infantry" post and poll(go vote), so lets go in a slightly differant direction. They dont have to be the top infantry guys but Who is your nemesis??

Who kills you more than most? So much so that you get great satisfaction from killing them just once.

Is there anyone you go up against where the fight all ways goes down to the wire? You know the ones, where after killing them you have no health left or you both end up going from machine gun to pistol to knife everytime you go up against each other?

Do you go up against a player where you know with 100% certainty that you have the drop on them only to have them drop a nade or zook you to the head, but they 'seemingly' do it every time to you.

Who is your nemesis and why??

There was a time period where he was getting the best of me every game. Even with 100% focus I was losing 1 on 1
infantry fights repeatedly which was something I was not used to. He was known as Mr. Phil

This list only includes guys I play against most of the time, a lot of guys who would kick my ass all day play often on my side...

- Merc and Gator for ruining my KDR as soon as they have planes to bomb my nice tanks... and they enjoy it !

- Juda and Cutie von Cutenstein who make me damn nervous by "inventing" "jeep zooker squads"... but thanks buddies, because of you I hit most of the moving jeeps ...

- Bio and Cream for making me look like a noob in EVERYTHING !!!

- Evil Susy666 for putting down nasty expacks, Rabid Grinch for hunting me with his damn bazooka !

- And, since this night, Mr. Harry Trigger for shooting down my Hind with his Abrahms x times in a row !

- Yetanothercorpse and Klink (both in rare cases) for being in TS but on the enemy team , listening to team chat and trying to destroy my gameplay on my favourite maps because they know exactly how I play ( "I got a mine waiting for you Anger !" BASTERDS ! ).

If I forgot some of you guys, please don't feel insulted or forgotten. The list will be updated, and you know how to protest against me ( check the "Angerfist sucks and is so mean" area formerly known as the unban section ; or send a PM). Mentioning my nemisis(es?) as an infantry player would take too long.

Medic needs about three bullets to kill me with his damn machine pistol, no matter what distance seperates us.

Rabid_Animal is invincible against my bazooka as infantry.

If Colonel_Flagg has a Grant i have only two seconds to live when i spot him.

The reason I am bumping this thread is three fold,

1) To kick start this forum into some activity.
2) I am tired of seeing how a cat plays.
3) To see how the player base has changed.

Since this thread went up things have changed, origin has come along and of course people move on to other games or life gets in the way. Here are the parameters of the discussion,

Who kills you more than most? So much so that you get great satisfaction from killing them just once.

Is there anyone you go up against where the fight all ways goes down to the wire? You know the ones, where after killing them you have no health left or you both end up going from machine gun to pistol to knife everytime you go up against each other?

Who is your nemesis and why??

So lets see who the new kids on the block are?

Nice to see the forums back up and after two years, this post resurrected. It brings back some good memories. I would have to say the two nemesis's or "nemesisisisis" (plural) I have currently in game are Winston and War Wizard. Both are great players but more importantly they are highly intelligent players. They scope out a situation before acting, measure up what needs to be done and then engage. If I let my guard down to reload, heal, repair, etc; they are on me like crazy and take advantage of the opportunity. Hats off to you both! It makes me become very active in game when you both are on. Not to mention loads of fun.

Sorry the post about my cat playing tired you Birney, I thought it was cute and wanted to share it with everyone.

I"d only post those who are 'current' in their bf dues. Some of the above field wouldn't hit the beach without a case of metamucil on hand.

Berry, I like to catch in the open gullies of battle axe and tobruk. ( after you've heard boom, boom, boom )

Twilight , Bend like the reed grasshopper and be where the bombs are not. Leaving him to declare his ground force weak.

Cornered Badger , always fun .. deviates from the norm.

Anyone who doesn't hold a Thompson like a pacifier.
