Honestly, all of the new Origin players have made the game far more refreshing, and similar to how it used to be. The few remaining players on the BF42 servers before this free version came out did nothing besides throw grenade after grenade. These new players are actually trying to learn how to play. Extremely refreshing.

I always thought there should be nades, but only 3 per life. So you only replenish 3 nades after you die. Once you use the 3 you are forced to use other weapons. Nades are not a primary weapon and this would be the best way to make it so they are not used as a primary weapon, but will keep them part of the game.


Nades when there are tanks involved are a must, if the maps like berlin and stali get modded to inf only then nades should go as they just get abused (throw 3 nades find someones dead body, pick up their pack and throw nades and repeat. Or the people that just sit at an ammo crate and throw them nonstop. Or you throw 3 nades, die immediately to a nade then respawn 5 seconds later just in time to throw 3 nades.)
I have only played on the origin server and haven't seen nades be a problem on any map but berlin and stali.

Just limit the capacity to 3 nades, reloading is fine. Do this on the most troubled maps.
As I see it, nades are important in terms of clearing a bunker, attacking a tank. However as usual they are used to the exstent of direct spamming, from a ammo box to target. Nades don't ruin the game, but they can certainly be disruptive.

I think just not allowing nades to be reloaded would drastically help. I don't think it is unfair or bad to have a player just chuck three grenades at me. I do think t ruins my experience when someone is able to stand by a box and have an endless supply of them that prevents me from spawning in and laying at all. The only way to really monitor it is to have an admin watching every box on the map and that's just not practical. Also, I think not having the ability to reload grenades will put a bigger emphasis on teamwork to take down tanks and attack points that will also make the game more fun because everyone will be involved and everyone will be needed.

Yea I am gonna correct my previous statement.

Limit to 2 nades per person, untill you die. Reload slowed down too, or completely removed reload of nades. (on berlin and stalin).

I don't honestly think having 3 is a problem. It's a fine number in my opinion. The only issue I have with nades at all is that they can be reloaded. If there was a fast easy way to prevent them from being reloaded, I think that would be ideal. I have never seen 3 being an issue because 3 will kill an artillery piece and do some good damage to a tank, but standing by an ammo box and just chucking them non stop can ruin the fun for an entire team causing many people to leave.

Berlin WAS my favomap before this "2-nade-limit". When Berlin map is loading now, I'm loging out, Berlin have become sooo boring.

When a player logs out he usally don't return until after a couple of hours, if the player returns at all the same day. Back in the days the server was full when Berlin was on, today it is like 15-30 people playing. The numbers speaks for itself. This modding have gone to far, give us back original Berlin and the B17 in El Al :-)
