For those who have played this great mod and were wondering.... the guys at IS82.com have created a new installer for the 1.1612 version of BF1942

You can get it from www.is82.com

For those not familiar with this mod its more of a racing mod built from the 1942 game engine.

Its quite fun so check out the mod join our is82 partnered server and get some tire smoke rolling!!

The MoonGamers link will only work for the CD version of the game the new links will be set up here after a bit of backend work has been completed.

The Moongamers82 server is now full fledged Origin/free!! 50 slots. 4 new maps were released just last month!!! And more to come! Currently, there are about 150 maps in rotation. So again, if anyone wants to play this mod, check us out at is82.com Register as a member if you want and I, being an admin there, can activate your account. Being a member allows you to post any questions, comments, concerns, or just general news to our chat box or active threads! There certainly is a lot going on over there!!
The Moongamers82 server has all the maps like I said. There is also another server via Origin, currently running FlaMiN's rcc mod.......And we still have the original is82.com server running the retail/cd version for those who have not made the switch.

If you haven't seen interstate it's diverse and challenging with a host of maps built not so much on the race but overcoming obstacles , hard corners? Try driving in full loop only to stop halfway so you can drop onto another track!
Interstate is challenging! Learning how to use both Nitro and Vertical Thrust is a blast.

I am guessing the new installer auto detects between 1942 versions, If you use an older installer just make sure to point to the right directory.

This applies to all the mods...

Typically on a Win 7 System you will change the path from this

C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942

To this

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 1942

is82.com Has an up to date list of maps under downloads. I am able to add maps with the game engine running in less them a minute from download to load screen, tons of maps, some have installers, most are zipped.

Typical install path for an individual map would be :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods\interstate\archives\bf1942\levels

The mod itself actually contains 12 maps including: (which are all included when downloading the mod)

*Deathrace (medium challenge style track/course)
*Deathrace 2 (medium challenge style track/course)
*Lakeside (easy challenge style track/course)
*Tsunami (medium challenge style track/course)
*Aurora Valley (battle style/conquest)
*Aurora Citylight (battle style/conquest)
* Canyonrun (battle style/conquest)
* Countryside (battle style/conquest)
* Highway (battle style/conquest)
*Streets (battle style/conquest)
*Streets Race (simple race)
*Survivor Arena (battle map with one life only)


Aside from these maps there have been dozens upon dozens of custom maps made for this mod over the last 8 years.
Well if you download/install the mod alone, that will give you the 12 original maps.

This, and the 130+ other maps may take you awhile to download.(3 map packs & about 40 maps not in any pack)

KEEP IN MIND GENTS:

IS82 is soon going to be exclusively on Origin Games. No more is82.com server just Moongamers82 server via Origin. I suggest you get Origin if you haven't already.


A sad FYI: The server is dead about 95% of the time. Find me on XFIRE (is82gooddaytodie) and also join the interstate82 community on XFIRE. It's easy enough to get a game going with a couple players if you just find me or someone on XFIRE...Or, go to is82.com and register so you can shout in the chatbox to everyone letting us know when you would like to play. It's sad that this is where Interstate is at, but it's the truth.

We need all the support we can get.

I'm still producing new maps, but this will probably be my last year doing so. I love mapping for is82 but the reward just isn't there. Well, it is:).....but you know what I mean most likely. No players, no fun.

I have had the pleasure of playing interstate a number of times but have not had the pleasure of making a full-on video for it. Goodday or Mista any chance of one of you two posting a video or two to show our membership just what they are missing out on? This is a great mod peoples. If you love cars, love racing, love stunting and love bf42 you'll love this mod
