Long time follower of the BF series and long time player of 42. It's not news or a surprise that 1942 going free on Orgin increased the amount of new people to this awesome game. As much as I enjoy it it also has some annoyances. So I thought that I would start a thread with some basic tips that I noticed either people were lacking or not observing.

-When capping a flag make sure you check all areas that a enemy could be hiding. The flags have a range at which they can be capped. Chances are that if the flag isn't changing from grey it's because a enemy is staying in the capping zone hiding somewhere.

- Sometimes (at least) select a class or load out that your team needs. This means that if there are 12 snipers, your team probably doesn't need 1 more.

- The quickest route between flags when attacking might usually be the straightest, but not always the safest. Meaning when your attacking taking the most direct route to the flag will probably stop your push. Example Iwo Jima when trying to take the top flag, running straight up the middle might not always be the best option to push or gain ground.

-If you spawn at a flag and no other teammates are there, set up some defensive positions as surely the flag will be attacked shortly.

-Spot Arty with the sniper binocs. Arty can sometimes make or break a game. Either way artillery is a valuable weapon and used effectively can make a world of difference.

-Waiting around in spawn does nothing for your team.

-Always repair the carrier on Coral Sea, unless you only want the game to last 10 mins. (I like to use my wrench before taking off ever)

- LOOK AROUND! This is the biggest one for me that I notice newer players never doing; just plain looking around. Often most of the players killing you aren't right in front of you or in a heavily trafficked area but hiding in an inconspicuous place.

Please feel free to add any tips you might have for newer players and thanks for reading.
See you on the Battlefield.

Anytime you're on the move always go side to side and jump.. Helps make you less of a target for snipers. Dont stop to shoot people, that makes you an easier target.

don´t taxi to planes
don´t get on position 1 of other player arty and drive it to enemy, are light armor
don´t yell medic, or go go while invading flag as open talk can also be heard by enemy
while snipe don´t fire if enemy near, they hear the gun and can locate you
don´t push other tank from repair pad, ask to move
if a new flag is cap spawn there or it will be loss soon
repair always, carrier, battleship etc if they are spawn points and your team does not have flags on land
if you see a team mate at a dogfight help with aa guns, mainly on market garden as axis on that map depends on air cover to allow tanks to pass bridges.
all times check minimap to avoid tk or crash into a team mate
you can get other packs from dead spawns and change type of soldier not need to wait till you are killed. also while defend a position if you rotate from dif packs you can have, bazzoca, engeener and medic avail as doing this will re set time packs desapear, and you can face diferent atacks.
work as a team, you can´t win the game alone !
repair, heal all that you can at any time, engeener is very valuable during a tank fight as give your team mate tank more oportunity to destroy enemy.
tk can happen, do apology if you did it, others will understood.
follow up server rules to avoid kick and ban

If you have time to reload your pistol after using it, do so. next close fight will come.

If you are defensive machinegunner in a flying Bomber, don´t shoot at enemy ground troops exept you make more kills then the Pilot with his bombs.
The machine gun ammunition includes tracer ammunition to show the gunner were his shots go, the problem is that enemys can see it too without having to see the Bomber itself.
So their pilots, aa gunners, machinegunners and so on see you comming early, see you flying away longer and the pilots can follow you beyond regular eyeshot.
I never saw someone killing ground troops by shooting with defensive machineguns out of a normal flying plane, it´s to difficult to be effective.

Main thing is to respect other players, follow the server rules and most of all. Just have fun !!!!!!!!!!
I like Moongamers because they created fun servers to play on. I play not for kills, but to just enjoy the game and to take my mind off of everyday life.

Thank you Moongamers.

Always reload your gun after a fight. Even if there are just 10 bullets gone. Never go into a fight without a fully loaded magazine.

A good tip I learned over the years is when you are playing a medic, before you start moving change your primary weapon to something else. Use a med pack, nade, pistol, knife etc when you walk around. It is easy to heal yourself when you are getting shot but more importantly, when you need to shoot an enemy change back to your main gun- thompson, mp40, etc and your gun will be sighted in as if you were originally standing still. You can get a really good couple of accurate shots off, just like you were standing still for 2-3 seconds and your sights are settled. Also when playing as an engineer you can move about all you like and you main gun will fire as accurate as if you were standing still. (just not the Garand and Japanese equivalent) Last one I can think of that I rarely see people use is the skydive trick. When you bail out of a plane and need to go a far distance, like to the action or to a flag, don't immediately press the parachute button. Instead if you bailed at a good altitude, make your in game character look up at the sky at a 45-60 degree angle, move the mouse to look into the direction you want to go (while still looking up) and press the forward key (W). You can literally fly across the entire map if you are high enough, just pay attention to the mini map. If you aren't that high you can still fly/glide really really far anyways. Just remember to press the parachute key when you think you are getting close to the ground! You can always look down but it drastically affects the amount of gliding distance.

Is this post a joke?... According to this post, there are a bunch of players on teams running right up the middle of maps, all the while they are all of the same attack class. They are confused about finding the guy on the other team keeping the flag grey so no one is able to cap flags. No one is spotting for arty, who has no idea of where to shoot (should you be in arty if this is the case), while the other half of the team waits in spawns for vehicles and no one looks around to see?....what....? Skepticali, if you have really been playing this game for a while then wouldnt you know that posting such bogus tips do more to hinder your credibility than help it.

- if you need medic or are out of ammo, search for kits on the ground. There are always ones.

- as infantry, use the sound-engines of the game. you can hear the enemy if they are using the f-commands. or if you hear a "bling", then run away. if u hear someone shooting but you are alone, then its the enemy

- as sniper, spot the enemy ( u must see the name-tag of the enemy ) or flags. dont waste your ammo on movin targets, help your team and kill the mg´s and enemy snipers.

- on ff-on servern, watch your fire. dont shoot on grey flags, try to kill the enemies which are going to the flag.

King Slender must have a reading disability. "tips for new and old players" yes I see what I wrote in nearly every game on the Orgin servers. There are a lot of new people coming to the game. So either they are getting owned by the vets or murdered by the vets. Not everyone is an amazing pro gamer like you King so some basic tips or refreshers aren't going to hurt anyone. I thought that my tips were fairly logical.

What did you say?....who made you the nubsauce guidance councelor? Frankly your words of wisdom stink! Here's what to do....shoot first and hit what you are aiming at. Do that and you will succeed 75% of the time (cept for the 25% you are double teamed). Still not bad odds. Follow that rule and you will have success. Gl and Frag on.
