Hello everyone,

I was just wondering why you don't run the meatgrind event anymore. Do not enough people stay on the server to play it? Its always a blast playing good maps that are not ruined by constant nade spam/rain. Just wondering thats all.

Yep, there were all of 2 of us that ran this each Friday for the longest time with one or two trying to pick up where we left off. However, we only really stopped running it as it was soon apparent that the players were more interested in tanks and planes and were no longer coming to the server until we switch backed to "normal" maps.

Sad... but true. I do miss Omaha para though as its been a long time.

I was trying to keep it going awhile back. Then a blown computer, 2 year old twin boys and work got in the way. Sure miss meatgrind fridays..

A few months ago my manageress received a 'lateral move sideways' or as we call it a demotion. She was a nice enough person, someone you would not mind going and having a beer with after work, quite pretty as well, but her management style was cantankerous to say the least. At work to get a vacation I have to put in two weeks notice so that my bosses can get someone to cover the work that I do, or anyone else for that matter. My former manageress used to be a stickler for this, put in 13 days notice and you would get a 'no' put in 14 days notice and all would be fine. How does the song go? "Ding Dong the witch is dead" This week I put in four days notice for a vacation and got it! Which means I have next week off.

So whats my point I hear you ask? If someone 'bumps' this post on Thursday/Friday morning next week I will do my utmost to ensure that we have meat grind run for a few hours on Friday night and if your lucky arrange 'cover' so that it can run for a few hours on Saturday night. All the old favorites from Omaha para through to Berlin and Stalingrad tdm. Just for fun and just before we go back into rotation we can throw in moon angels as well.

No promises on this but we can but try. Does 9pm eastern sound o/k?

Thats great news and i hope that we can make it comeback but, unfortunately i am on vacation as well and will be unable to play for 2 weeks. Regardless i hope someone does bump this and you cats will be able to get it up and rocking again.

If we have a test server not being used, maybe we could do meatgrind over there on that server and leave TDM to the planes, tanks and nades players. Also, maybe just maybe run some DC maps until it comes into production with TDM maps.
