Good morning from Australia.

I'm just wondering, how can you tell friendly units apart from enemy units at great distances?

Normally, you can tell by the colour name tag or logo (i.e. blue or red).  However, at far distances these logos don't appear.

Is it common practice to only shoot at things if you can view the enemy tag?

Is there a way to change the draw distance in the settings?

I'm trying to avoid accidently team-killing.

Thanks in advance.

If you are aiming long distance, a quick glance at the map can tell you if there are teammates in your line of sight.

Typically you won't be shooting beyond name tags unless you are sniping. If you are sniping at that distance, such as the edge of the fog on larger maps, sometimes you can see what gun someone is holding, and if it isn't your team most of the time it's a pretty safe shot then. If you get hurt when you shoot them, they are a teammate, simple as that.

There is no way to change draw distance without modifying game files which is cheating and will result in a ban.

The old hunters' tip of if you're not sure of your target don't fire at it can work wonders as well.

Cap, I like the "Anything can be an anti aircraft gun if you point it upwards!"

A team that is being plagued by hot shot pilots on the other side should be reminded to put whatever ground fire they've got into them.
