Hi moonies,

 

My stupid computer updated from Window 10 to Window 11 when my computer shut off and rebooted without me knowing.  Since then, my surround sound (in game) doesn't work.  In all other applications on my computer it works it is only BF 42 that doesn't work.  I am too old and too stupid to know what to do to solve this problem.  Can you please help me with this?  I didn't realized until it was gone that not hearing what is behind you in game is a really big problem.

Open BF42, then Alt+Tab, and open the Volume Mixer in your computer settings, make sure the BF42  sound is turned up..

Thanks Highway for the input.  I just checked and it is currently turned all the way up and I still have the in game problem.  I really appreciate your help here.

So here is what we did.  My son in law took me back to Win 10 with the option on Windows if you do it within 14 days or something like that.  By going back to Win 10 it made it so the sound was working again.  Then after we did this we found out that it messed up the Media Players and the picture viewers on the computer.  We deleted them and reinstalled them and it was all back to normal.  My son in law told me that people hated Win 11 so much that they gave people the option to go back to Win 10 (like we did).  Thanks for you help Highway man.  *S* brother.
