I tried to connect on Sunday but it said map not found. I was trying to get on the alternate maps. I am running anthology with Battlefield, Road to Rome and Secrets Weapons of WWII installed. According to the splash screen I am running ver 1.612. Windows 7, i7 3770K, 32gb ddr3 2133, GTX 960. It is triple booted, Win 7, Win 10, Ubuntu. I have had to recently change computers because the old one kind of died. This one hadn't been run since before Windows 7 became unsupported. When I click Update I don't get any servers listed. On windows 10 (fresh installed this month (Dec 2025)) I did install the win 10 ver but it crashes on start of new map almost every time.
Couldn't get on on Sunday

Install the Master Server Patch. This should fix your server browser

We also have an installer (created by Nicole) that is meant for more modern OSs like Win10/Win11.

i just downloaded it, unzipped it, copied the exe into my main folder and no server list. I can still get in by typing the server ip into the add server and join that way.

I was reading the BF2142 Reclamation FAQ
It's possible OpenSpy being blocked which would def cause no browser
"Although extremely rare, when it does happen this is caused by something blocking your connection to the OpenSpy master server. The most common cause of this is usually anti-virus/firewall applications, privacy applications (e.g. AdLock), or parental control applications (e.g. Covenant Eyes) blocking the required connection. The less common cause is certain countries or internet service providers denying access to the OpenSpy master server."

OK, this OS hasn't been run for a few years until my other machine up and died. No anti virus, no firewall other than my google fiber modem, not ad lock or parental controls, in the USA. This OS is just run when I am going to play Battlefield and a couple other games, internet usage is just to sites like this one. For all other tasks, I run Ubuntu.
Should I copy all of the other files that accompanied the exe into the same folder that the game is in?
