a lot of us know that there are many many apps that can record what you see on your screen when gaming ;
xfire
fraps
playclaw
and others, can do this, but they are softwarebased, and will always reduce the framerate to some degree - especially when recording in high quality
but hardware-based solutions also exist and these can do this with ZERO performance hit
some good choices are
hauppauge colossus
and
blackmagic intensity
they both cost rougly 200 dollars and can record up to 1080 i / p at 30 fps
install it on a secondary pc, use a hmdi splitter, or clone output on the gamepc, and you're g2g .....
i'm getting a blackmagic intensity shuttle usb 3.0 next week, and look forward to posting documentaries on youtube such as :
20 ways to stab cutie
pwning moon admins vol. 43
the iwo jima pow massacre
etc. etc.
Record own gameplay without slowdown
