im haveing ping issues

i ahve been away from the game for 10 days so my cpu hasnt run it in 10 days today i come home laod up some DC and play at a non moon server i get contstant connection probs and when i go to moon omaha beach where i ping about 30-40 my ping heats up and i get kicked twice for high ping is there anything i can do?

Do these REGULARLY:
1. scan for spyware
2. defrag
3. make sure no other processes are running


4. if all of these don't work, run trace routes...instructions are given earlier in this thread. That can tell you if it's an internet problem.

One thing to add to Lin's post. If you are still having problems after doing her steps, try running them in safe mode. Going into Safe mode is the best idea because you can be assured other processes will not be running. If you need help knowing what anti-spyware look at the anti-spyware/malware topic right below this topic.

thanks guys but my computer was just a little rusty it wasn't on for 10 days as i was on vacation so it just needed a little time to get abck in the swing of running BF 42 now my ping is normal but thanks for the tips.

My IP is 84.143.7.87. Since a few days i've strange Ping Issues when playing on Moon BF1942 Servers, my Ping currently is 200-240 there, while it used to be constantly at 160 until October, 13th.

I hope you can help me, because i know that several other german Players have got the same Problems on the Moon Bf1942 Servers...since last Thursday.

Well, i've got a DSL Modem, how should i reset that?

Btw, i can play normal on other Servers (no matter if they are located in Europe or in the USA), these Problems only occur on the Moon BF1942 Servers. And as i said several other Players from Germany have got the same Problems since last Thursday.

I got the same problems like Craspir. And had a ping of 180 bevor the server has moved.

Hmm Yea, i also had in Mind that the Provider might cause the Problems, but i don't have Ping issues on other Servers or in other Online Games, so i don't think that that's the Problem...

And after the Servers moved to Virginia on October 1st, my Ping on the Moon BF1942 Servers was constantly at 150-160 (which is the normal Ping i'm used to play with on U.S. Servers).
