It happens to all of us at times...the crime of over-adminning. I've been responsible for a couple of these lately.
Lake Ontario:
I had put this (and Lake America) into the "banned" or "filtered" words list as it was initially brought up as an opinion or statement in someone's name...which we do not allow. The rule on names with opinions can be found in our current ruleset. Because of the recent name issues, I did anticipate this would be a hot topic not to be discussed on the server.
However, it was brought to me that as long as it is used as a place where someone lives, and not as a political or hot topic statement, it should be ok. I agreed and it was removed from the filtered word list...unless it starts to become a consistent political issue. Lake America is still in the filter.
RONIN:
A couple of players decided to troll the server daily, multiple times a day, asking where RONIN is. It was getting to the point where it was a game to see how many players would stop their game to answer the question, so I did put "ronin" into filter (chat only, so RONIN would not be kicked if he came in). It was getting annoying to me to see this continue to happen, but several folks got kicked on Saturday...so I took it back out of the filter.
It's fine to ask a sincere question but please don't make a game out of it at others' expense.
Anyhoo, I wanted to post my apologies for doing these things lately.
